So 9th August ( Monday ) at Midnight we need to sign him before if he wants to play in the Champions League. Unless Rapid decide not to register him which i highly doubt.

You can still sign him later and play him if he doesn't play for Rapid. Michael Owen was sitting on the bench in the qualification game against Grazer AK before he went to Real Madrid, but he didn't play a minute so he could play for Real Madrid in the CL.

As far as im aware if Rapid choose him as one of there registered 25 players for the games vs Villa, then he cant play for us in the CL, even if he doesnt take part in any of the games vs Villa.

Yeah they may well have lol, Although I wouldn't be suprised if we sign him the money of the deal would be reported as an 'undisclosed fee'

Die Summe die Rapid dabei erhält ist doch nur zwischen 3.2 und 3.6 Millionen Euro..
