es gibt kaum einen anderen spieler der in jedem spiel soviel läuft und rackert. kaum einen stürmer der sich die bälle wenn nötig am eigenen 16er holt

Rooney ist ein Kampfschwein der immer das alles gibt, der technisch zudem verdammt stark ist, einen hammerschuss hat, tolle übersicht vorweisen kann und verdammt jung ist

und irgndjemand denkt nur daran rooney für saha rauszunehmen ?

Wer hat vor 2 Monaten noch gedacht, dass Ruud 4 Spiele in Serie auf der Bank sitzt?

Und genau wegen solcher Aktionen denke ich das man bei den Red Devils dringend frisches Blut auf der Trainerbank brauchen könnte SAF hat in den letzten Jahren viele seltsame entscheidungen getroffen Beckham, Keane usw.

Viel Viel Geld für spieler ausgegeben bei denen viele schon zu beginn wussten, dass sie nichts bringen (Kleberson, Miller,Djemba Djemba usw.)

Würd ich nicht unbedingt sagen. Ich würds eher umdrehen und sagen "mit diesem MF kann man sehr froh sein an 2. Stelle zu sein". Denn ohne Scholes und Keane ist das zentrale MF mit Smith (jetzt ja auch lange außer Gefecht), O'Shea und Fletcher doch sehr schwach besetzt. Am besten wärs wohl wirklich mit Saha UND Van Nistelrooy zu spielen und dafür Rooney ins zentrale (offensive) MF zu geben und O'Shea oder Fletcher dahinter als Absicherung (auch wenn die Rooney durch sein "jeder-Fleck-am-Feld-ghört-mir-Spiel" eigentlich eh net wirklich braucht )

könnte mir auch gut vorstellen Rooney im Mittelfeld Spielen zu lassen. Hat er ja auch schonmal gespielt und hat auch geklapt.

Gabi  Returns To Training

Gabriel Heinze may return to action before the end of the season after taking a huge step in his recovery from cruciate knee ligament damage. The Argentine international has been out of action since September's draw with Villarreal, but assistant manager Carlos Queiroz told the club's pre-Birmingham press conference that Heinze is now back on the training pitch.

"Gabi has begun his preparations on the pitch from the fitness point of view," he told the assembled media. "We won't rush him and will follow his recovery progress week by week. He's not training with the other players just yet as he is following a special individual training programme. He's doing fantastically well and we still believe he can play before the end of the season."

Asked whether Heinze will be fit to compete for Argentina in the World Cup finals this summer, Queiroz added: "The most important thing in all this is the player and whether he is totally recovered and ready to play. The final decision to give him clearance should be made by us and the Argentine medical staff."

Alan Begins Fitness Work

Meanwhile, Queiroz also revealed that Alan Smith is progressing well with his rehabilitation from a broken leg and dislocated ankle.

"Alan has now started the next stage of his recovery process," confirmed United's No.2. He has started to complement his rehabilitation with other exercises which will help his fitness and has begun doing some work in the gym. He will have another operation in a couple of days to remove the pin and will then enter the third stage of his recovery process."

Solskjaer Pens New Reds Deal

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a new two-year contract with United, which will keep him at the club until June 2008.

The new contract takes the 33-year-old Norwegian forward to the age of 35, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson says the deal will allow Ole to develop coaching experience.

“I am delighted that Ole has signed a new two year deal," Sir Alex said. "It reflects our hope that he would return to full play after his recent cheek injury.

"Ole has always adopted a positive position in that respect and his positive attitude gave him a big chance to come back. It will take Ole to thirty five and gives him the opportunity to develop his coaching experience.

"We also foresee him having a key role as an ambassador for the Club in the future,” the Reds boss added.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I have always felt at home here and I want to repay the loyalty that has been shown to me by the club, the fans and Sir Alex.

Finde ich toll, dass man den Vertrag von Ole verlängert hat. Ein Spieler mit Herz für ManU. Hatte früher etliche Angebote von großen Vereinen, wo er vermtlich einen Stammplatz gehabt hätte. Wollte aber unter keinen Umständen von ManU weg, auch wenn er nur auf der Bank gesessen wäre.

Ein anderer wird aber anscheinend ManU verlassen.

Da gibts aber im Endeffekt eh auch einen O'Shea, der auch schon ziemlich jede Position bekleidet hat. Wie auch immer, ich denke mir dass wir diesen Abgang verschmerzen können. Und Verletzungspech scheint bei United eh chronisch zu sein.

Die Meisterschaft kannst abschreiben, das lässt sich Chelsea nie und nimmer noch nehmen, nicht einmal dann, wenn sie morgen gegen Liverpool und dann gegen Ende der Saison gegen uns verlieren sollten (was ich für sehr unwahrscheinlich halte). Chelsea fliegt gegen die sog. "kleinen" Vereine einfach nicht um, was United im Prinzip immer mal macht (siehe deine Auflistung). Hoffe daher auch, dass Chelsea heute gewinnt, damit hätten wir  nach Verlustpunkten gleichgezogen und auch das klar bessere Torverhältnis.

8 Siege, 4 Unentschieden und eine Niederlage = 79 Punkte am Saisonende, was an und für sich alles andere als eine schlechte Ausbeute ist (Chelsea wird halt an die 100 haben...) 

Um mich mal zu zitieren

Schaut momentan viel besser aus, als ich ursprünglich gedacht habe - aber wie konnte man auch damit rechnen, dass wir acht Spiele in Folge gewinnen werden?!

Nächste Woche wird interessant, Arsenal ist momentan ähnlich wie wir in Überform, da treffen wohl die beiden derzeit besten Teams der PL aufeinander. Nachdem Chelski heute bei BCFC gepatzt hat, sind's nur mehr sieben Punkte Rückstand - wenn wir uns in den nächsten drei Partien schadlos halten (Sunderland Pflichtsieg, die Partien gegen die beiden Nordlondoner Klubs werden allerdings sehr, sehr schwierig), könnte es tatsächlich noch was mit dem Titel werden, ein Sieg an der Stamford Bridge vorausgesetzt. Aber das ist Zukunfts- bzw. Wunschdenken, nun muss man mal daran gehen, die Gunners zu schlagen - und das wird eine äußerst schwierige Aufgabe, da ist Respekt absolut angebracht.

MMn gilt für Chelsea dasselbe wie für Juventus, in der derzeitigen Form und bei der Anzahl an ausstehenden Spielen sind sie noch einholbar, Siege in Serie natürlich vorrausgesetzt!

Nach dem Spieltag sind es nur noch 7 Punkte, da geht also noch was für ManU....

Ich glaub noch an United (bzw. hoffe) wichtig ist auch das wir noch direkt gegen Cheslea spielen und da gewinnen müssen!!!

JOSE MOURINHO has told Alex Ferguson to forget about winning the Premiership.

Manchester United closed to within seven points of leaders Chelsea after the champions were held at Birmingham.

But Blues chief Mourinho says Fergie is living on false hopes if he still believes United can steal the crown.

He said: “I am not thinking they are very close to us.

"Of course we have to chase the points we need, we cannot wait for them to drop points."

Mourinho insisted Chelsea have NOT been playing badly recently.

He said: “If I was in United’s position, I would be happy with the last couple of months where they are playing well and winning matches, but very concerned about the distance.”

Hm, die Blues sind heuer auswärts weit nicht so stabil wie noch letzte Saison und haben in der Fremde noch drei schwierige Aufgaben vor sich. Dazu eben das Duell mit United. Wir haben im Gegensatz dazu drei relative lockere Heimspiele, aber auch die schwierigen Duelle mit den Gunners, an der White Hart Lane und bei den Blues.

Aber ich gebe die Hoffnung nicht auf
