VAR hat nichts daran geaendert das es auf der Insel fast quer durch die Bank nur schlechte Schiris gibt.

Ich bin absolut pro VAR. Manchmal frage ich mich aber, warum er nicht eingreift und manchmal finde ich die Entscheidungen komisch. Aber insgesamt ist es mit VAR sicher fairer geworden.

VAR ist nur dann komisch wenn einer der fetzndeppaten englischen Schiris versucht komisch zu sein.

Today Chelsea fly the flag for London in the 2021 Champions League Final in Porto, fifty years since they won their first major European trophy - the 1971 European Cup-Winners Cup, beating Real Madrid in the Final which was held in Greece. On that occasion thousands of Chelsea fans made the long journey to watch the game, including many of the shopkeepers and traders in Brompton Cross where I lived. Brompton Cross is the junction of Brompton Rd, Fulham Rd, Sloane & Draycott Avenues & Pelham Street, and is dominated by the Michelin building. In those days it was like a bustling village centre with Alfie Lay's greengrocer's barrows at its heart. 
The final was 1-1 after extra-time, and as UEFA hadn't considered the possibility of a draw there was no contingency plan in place for a penalty shoot-out or replay. So on the spur of the moment it was decided that the teams would have a replay two days later in the same Olympiakos stadium. Being Chelsea fans, the idea of returning to London and missing the replay was unthinkable. 
Thus it was that thousands of blue & white adorned Chelsea fans were stranded in Athens with nowhere to stay except the beaches. This was the period when Greece was ruled by the military junta - and not the free & easy country we associate it with today - and most Real Madrid fans returned home to Franco's Spain. With so many homeless Blues fans wandering the city streets, Greek radio stations broadcast an appeal to listeners to 'Adopt a Chelsea fan for 2 nights' and they were flooded with offers. The fans were shown the legendary Greek hospitality, they were housed and proudly paraded in the tavernas, and Chelsea won the replay 2-1 and celebrated long into the night with their Greek hosts. 
My mum was Greek and owned a dressmaker's shop in Brompton Cross, and when all the local shopkeepers & stall-holders returned triumphantly to London, mum was treated like royalty. They were full of praise for the hospitality given to them by the 'wonderful' Greek people, and she never had to pay full whack for her local shopping all summer long!
