I don`t need more information to know that this deal will never gonna happen.

I don`t want to destroy your hope, but read all the other postings since yesterday. No one is worried about a transfer to Rangers and this has good reasons.

There was also a guy on here with a close source who stated the deal was done and that he was flying over for a medical.

No Deal For Eagles

RANGERS have announced tonight that they will not be signing Chris Eagles due to the player's wage demands.

The Light Blues had agreed a fee with Burnley for the 24-year-old winger who visited Ibrox and Murray Park yesterday but a deal has not been struck.

Chief Executive Martin Bain insisted that Rangers will now look elsewhere as they bid to bolster the squad ahead of the new campaign.

He also indicated that he expects Kevin Thomson to complete his transfer to Middlesbrough tomorrow once paperwork is completed.

The Rangers Chief Executive said: "Yesterday, we agreed a fee with Burnley for winger Chris Eagles and he visited Ibrox and Murray Park, but his wage demands were such that they would not be met by the Club.

"It is disappointing we were not able to agree terms with the player, who received a good offer, and we will now look elsewhere.
