BarnsleyFan Anfänger Report post Posted March 15, 2021 (edited) Hi I’m here to ask what happened to VI at LASK. He had a very good record with you didn’t he and he also did well in the Europa League. We love him at Barnsley. He as done so well with us after taking over from Struber who also managed in the Austrian league. We’ve also had a few players from Austria but most of them haven’t worked out like Marcel Ritzmaier, Christoph Knasmüllner and Patrick Schmidt. MarioAUT A.U. Report post Posted March 15, 2021 He stole the change out of the players wallets to buy balloons. Then the keeper had to sit on them in underwear and pop them while VI was watching. Went viral. Even on BBC. Try googling "BBC popping keeper"

We’ve also had a few players from Austria but most of them haven’t worked out like Marcel Ritzmaier, Christoph Knasmüllner and Patrick Schmidt. There was one incident were he/we had forbidden training sessions during a covid-lockdown. that posed problems and apparently the team moral and cohesion suffered as a consequence. so the ending of our season was simply horrendous from both a result and performance standpoint. As a result there were some voices inside the team that didn't get along with him and his style of coaching anymore. also the management didn't see enough of an evolution in our playing style and maybe a lack of flexibility in his style of coaching. there were also some rumors that Ismael was mainly a motivator and that most of the tactical coaching was done by his assistants (but that is not verified) In general he was very well liked here, especially by the majority of the fans, for his results early on and his emotional coaching style. his interviews were sometimes close to legendary, so we would not want to have missed the year we had with him. but all in all, the separation was maybe for the best. as mentioned, there was no real evolution of our playing style compared to the years before him and as time went along teams were starting to figure us out. and wether it was his fault personally or not the team was not really able to adapt and often seemed helpless when the "usual things" were not working anymore. again, wether that was on him or not is not very clear what he definitely is, is a great motivator of men, which is why his early success in england is not very surprising to many of us in the end probably every one of us wishes him well at barnsley and is happy to see his success thus far. hopefully this success doesn't flatten out as it did with us and both LASK and barnsley have even greater days ahead PS: frieser is an amazing guy and still loved by probably everyone here. fans, players and the management

BarnsleyFan Anfänger Report post Posted March 15, 2021 Okay fair enough. I'm not sure if any of you are aware of the Barnsley system and that the club only appoint players that can fit into the system of play via the press ect. I think Dane Murphy mentioned that LASK under VI had the second best press in Europe last season and that was a big reason he was appointed. G Struber was appointed because of that too but in possession play they are different with GS been from the Red Bull system. We had lots of praise from many last season but we did okay and survived near the end of the season after a poor start to the season under Daniel Stendel. Struber seemed to me to be someone that would allow things to affect him where VI works to a plan and they go with that. Even the CEO said that VI leads the club with the way he goes about things.

First of all, welcome. And just to get this one out - please, for the love of everything good, only take the answer of @AllesKlar seriously. This might seem a little bit paranoid, but one thing that always goes up in flames at our club is our communication management. Can I ask what you guys in Austria think about the championship and players moving over to it? Does it annoy you that a second tier can sign players for financial reasons?

Hi, I just want to say, be careful with the Fishermans Friends here. They call themselves friends of LASK, but they threw fish at our goalkeeper and they didn't kill anyone. Ismael got his dick thrown to the side. Whatever that means. LoGre* *lovely greetings
