Oakland Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong is under investigation for allegedly taunting a police dog Sunday while the team was at Heinz Field for its Week 9 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Marcie Cipriani of WTAE.com.

Rich Walsh of CBS Pittsburgh shared a statement from Allegheny County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus:

We were immediately notified about the incident, and we immediately initiated a criminal investigation into the matter. Sheriff's Office supervisors interviewed witnesses and reviewed video surveillance recordings at Heinz Field. We notified the District Attorney's Office on Sunday. The Sheriff's Office is currently reviewing all of the information and reports to make a final determination relating to charges.

Armstrong, 24, allegedly "lifted his shirt, pounded on his chest and began barking at the dog as he was heading toward the field for the game," according to Cipriani. In Pennsylvania, taunting a police dog is considered a third-degree felony, which carries a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

No charges have been filed at this time.

In his third season out of Miami (Florida), Armstrong has compiled 19 tackles and one sack so far this season. He's started two games and is listed as Aldon Smith's backup on the team depth chart.

The Raiders have not commented on the matter but have been informed of the investigation, according to Cipriani.

More recently, Miklasz combined the full Houston/Tennessee years with Fisher’s Rams teams and concluded that Fisher’s teams had 236 more penalties than their opponents, 1,937 more penalty yards than their opponents, 116 fewer first downs via penalties than their opponents.

Was haltet ihr von Zack Mahoney? Schau nicht wirklich viel College, aber in der heutigen Partie bringt er zumindest eine recht starke Leistung, überhaupt der eine Run hat mir getaugt.

Btw, ist ein QB von Syracuse University - falls ihn noch wer nicht kannte/kennt

hab nur den anfang (fumble) und jz am ende bissl gesehen. überzeugt mich überhaupt nicht, ist auch nur ein ersatz qb und ist, wenn ich mich nicht verhört hab, eig als nr5 qb in die saison gegangen. die statistiken heute sind ja auch nicht so unglaublich toll, da finde ich den qb auf der anderen seite um einiges interessanter

Hab mich heut auch ein wenig mit den Statistiken, Infos über ihn beschäftigt, dürften wohl "recht starke" Minuten gewesen sein, die ich gestern gesehen habe

Wobei er für "nur" einen No.5 QB, schon recht gute Pässe, Runs, Reaktionen gezeigt hat.
