Don't get too excited, however. One savvy writer at TresSugar read the fine print, and reports that according to the packaging, "Crown Jewels Royal Wedding Souvenir Condoms are a novelty condom not suitable for contraception or protection against STDs."

But... why would you hawk commemorative condoms if they didn't actually do the job? The article also points out that the British monarchy, foreseeing the creation of silly tchotchkes, mandated that they all be in "good taste". Perhaps a condom that will never actually be used for sex just fits that bill.
