Wie am Sonntag geschrieben, wurden die ‚Black Rebels‘ beim Stadtderby gegen Legia Warschau von rechtsradikalen Hooligans angegriffen. Daraufhin kam ich zu einem Kontakt nach Warschau, der mir nun folgende übersetzte Stellungnahme auf Englisch zukommen ließ:

STATEMENT FROM AN INDEPENDENT GROUP OF POLONIA WARSAW SUPPORTERS

LET‘S NOT HAVE POLONIA RAN DOWN!

Forced by continuous acts of disinforming and propaganda seen on the Internet, we decided to speak out about what has happened lately, although before we had kept our problems to ourselves as a rule.

The events we witnessed at the latest derbies, are an effect of a longer process. We used to believe that what we had witnessed earlier this year was sheer stupidity and provocations on the side of the young „nationalists“, who got seduced by racist ideology. On the contrary, it proved to be a planned process, inspired from outside.

For the last year we have experienced the following:

- a provocative exposition of a racistsymbol, supposedly in the name of Polonia fans, during a match in Lodz;

- production of gadgets and clothes bearing rascist and national-radical emblems, and attempts to sell them in the stadium;

- taking (by „nationalists“), publicising and boasting of a photograph, on which several people perform a „Heil Hitler“ gesture on our club’s yard (!);

- an attempt to chase a black fan from the stand at Kamienna;

- a physical assault on several anti-racistsupporters of Polonia by a group of 50 thugs, during a Polonia fans‘ indoor tournament;

- finally, the events at derbies, when an intervention against chanting slogans like „Nationalist, nationalist Polonia“ ended in a disturbance.

There were dozens of witnesses at each of these incidents. All these actions were crystal clear in their meaning. People, who observed them (or themselves were attacked), had kept silent to this day – believing that we should not fight against ones of our own, especially when the club itself is in critical condition. All those actions were aimed also against a large part of the audience, who refuses to accept racist symbolics and activities like this on Polonia stadium. Let’s remind everyone: on a stadium neighbouring the former ghetto area – the pitch where the participants of the Warsaw Uprising were killed!

Right now the fan culture in this stadium is targeted by a nationalist gang of a clearly racist attitude, wishing to dominate it. The „nationalists“ make it clear, that what they want is to chase differently-minded people off the stadium. To do this, they use Goebbels-style propaganda. To whitewash the „derby turmoil“ they now claim that the antiracist sector didn‘t chant, although everyone present at Kamienna knows, that it was the loudest sector in the stadium.

The „nationalists“ spread a rumour among fans, that whom they attacked was „left-wingers“, „commies“, who tore down a flag „Down with communism“, but now it’s clear they pulled it down themselves. Let’s remind everyone, that when last season the stadium security intervened against a flag bearing a crossed-out hammer and sickle, antifascists were in the first line of the flag’s defenders. The „nationalists“ also say, that fans come in scarves made without acceptance of proper decision-makers, while in actuality, those scarves were shown to a proper person prior to having them brought on the stadium. The reality is, that these scarves bear a crossed-out swastika, which hurts „nationalists“ the most, as this symbol stands in disagreement with their fascist and racist attitudes.

Now comes the best part. After the Saturday events, we received an information proved by three independent sources. The escalation of turmoil is an effect of a silent trust with a racistroup of supporters of [the city’s opposing club] Legia Warszawa, who „promised“ the young „nationalists“ in Polonia to let them walk in nationalist marches – from which they had been chased away by Legia’s and Hutnik’s supporters – on the condition that they get rid of anti-racist from Kamienna. This is thus an unprecedented event: a group of Polonia supporters, to be allowed to march with likewise-thinking Legia fans, beats their co-supporters and steal scarves from several of them. In this situation, we need to ask: can the group of „nationalists“ in the Polonia stadium be called our co-fans at all? Maybe they should come to a clear decision: either alliances with a racistgroup from Legia, or the goodwill of Polonia?!

Voices of outrage are coming from every direction. Various communities of Polonia fans state it clear, that there can be no agreement to a nationalist dictatorship. They remind, that before WWII Polonia resisted against nationalists, after the war it resisted the communists, and such is its heritage. Today, the Polonia’s ethos is being denigrated and it’s very existence is in danger. The autonomy of Polonia fans is under threat, because a group of youth prefers to play lackeys to a larger club. There is no consent to this!

We‘re writing this, because enough is enough. Many people are confused, and the „nationalists“ are broadcasting lies and propaganda. In such a situation, we can‘t be the only ones staying silent. We‘re counting on support from the community of Polonia’s fans, all those, who wish the good to our club from the heart. The ones guilty of this clear treason against the club’s colours need to be named and called.

Therefore, we ask everybody to speak out! There are times for loud chanting, and there are times for speaking out when our stands become places of unacceptable incidents!

It’s not that long since there was the one and only atmosphereat the Polonia stadium – something uunseen in any other stadium of this country!Let’s not allow this atmosphere to perish!

Von der "Gegenseite" liest man, dass großteils Leute zu diesem Spiel kamen, die sonst mit Polonia nichts zu tun haben. Es wurde versucht eine Anti-Kommunismus-Fahne zu stehlen und das dürfte der Auslöser gewesen sein. Es wird betont, dass man kein Problem mit den Anti-Nazi-Schals hat (die man hier im Forum sah), allerdings mit den GNWP und Sharp Logos auf der Rückseite (gegen Nazis, aber eben pro Polen).

Ich hab zwar den grandiosen 3:0 Sieg der Vienna gebührend begossen, aber inzwischen bin ich doch wieder halbwegs ausgenüchtert...

Was Nazis zu sagen haben interessiert mich nicht. Nazis anzuhören trägt meiner Meinung nach auch nicht dazu bei, ein objektives Bild zu schaffen. Wo im Netz hast du denn die "andere Seite" gefunden?
