Puh, das gelbe Trainigszeugs ist schon heftig. :shy:

@Tom

Momo will miss CL opener

Mohamed Sissoko is a doubt for Juventus’ Champions League third preliminary round fixtures after picking up a muscular injury.

The talented midfielder suffered a strain in the back of his leg while on international duty with Mali.

Initial reports suggested that the problem was nothing to worry about, but Juve’s doctors are taking a cautious approach.

“The test results in Turin yesterday were good,” club doctor Riccardo Agricola revealed.

“But there is a strain and that needs to be addressed and the lad needs to undergo an individual training programme.

“Momo will be ready for the end of pre-season, but it will be up to Claudio Ranieri to decide if he is ready for the Champions League opener.”

Juventus' first Champions League fixture will take place on August 12 or 13 and August 26 or 27.

Sissoko has been somewhat injury-prone during his career and saw his spell at Liverpool marred by fitness problems.

Sissoko Will Be Fine - Agricola

Juventus have confirmed that Momo Sissoko’s injury is unlikely to rule him out of the Champions League preliminaries following an examination carried out by club doctor Ricardo Agricola.

The Mali international returned to the Bianconeri’s Pinzolo summer training camp after his international tour of duty with his country.

The former Liverpool man picked up an injury during the World Cup qualifiers and he underwent a further examination by Juventus club doctor Ricardo Agricola on Tuesday who has confirmed that all is well.

“The examination went well and it revealed slight strains in his posterior muscle in his left leg,” said Agricola.

“The player has not complained about any pain and he will undergo some different exercises to the rest of the squad in order for him to make a full recovery.

“He will be fully fit by the end of pre-season and so he should be ready for the preliminaries of the Champions League.

“However, it’s up to Claudio Ranieri as to whether Sisoko plays in those games.”

The Old Lady will be hoping to have a fully fit and fresh squad available in order to get through the preliminaries and into the group stages as she searches for glory on the nig European stage.

b_26370.pngNapoli:

New striker German Denis has made a stunning debut with Napoli, scoring a hat-trick in their friendly win over Jennersdorf.

The Argentine was drafted in from Indipendiente to partner Ezequiel Lavezzi this season and has already won over the supporters.

Denis bagged a hat-trick in the opening half-hour of their 10-0 victory over the local Austrian team, the first friendly match of the 2008-09 campaign.

He also impressed with his work-rate and willingness to come back and help out the midfield.

“Aside from the goals, I liked the way Denis played,” noted Coach Edy Reja (pictured). “He fights for every ball and has great momentum.”

Inacio Pia also scored a hat-trick, while Roberto De Zerbi, Michele Pazienza, Walter Gargano and Sam Dalla Bona rounded out the result.

The Jennersdorf match also represented the Napoli debut of Christian Maggio and Leandro Rinaudo.

“Maggio really propped up the flank and Rinaudo gave a great sense of calm to the whole defence, despite the fact he has only just arrived.”

b_26359.pngJuventus:

Momo Sissoko arrived at the camp in Pinzolo last night as scheduled. The player, who suffered a mild muscle injury during the African Cup qualification games with Mali in late June, was visited this morning by Juventus' medical staff and the results of the various tests were good.

Momo had originally pulled a muscle in his left thigh and had already been visited by Dr. Agricola straight after the incident. The first prognosis estimated the player being able to come back at the end of July, and this was confirmed by the new tests today: Sissoko, who underwent effective therapy in Biarritz before reaching Pinzolo, will work on his own for now and should be fully available again in around twenty days' time.

Piacenza friendly moved to 15th

The friendly against Piacenza will be played one day earlier than scheduled: the Bianconeri will take the pitch in Trento against the Emilia region team on Tuesday July 15th instead of Wednesday 16th as previously announced. The kick-off time has also been made official: the game will start at 8.30 pm and so the second friendly of the new season will also be Ranieri's men's first game played under the floodlights. Just like the game against Mezzocorona, the Piacenza match will be shown live and exclusively on Juventus Channel too.

There'll be a slight change to next month's Birra Moretti Trophy's line-up. Inter Milan have pulled out of the 12th edition of the summer tournament, scheduled for August 21st. The organizers have yet to officially announce which team will take the Nerazzurri's place, but the other teams taking part, Juventus and Napoli, and the seat of the tournament, the San Paolo Stadium in Naples, have been officially confirmed.
