It was a bad day, in which Napoli played a great game and we didn’t. We suffered the determination of Napoli at the beginning, then the balance returned but with the goal in counter attack we ruined everything. Probably we got scared by their pressure at the start and then we did not manage to play like we wanted to."

“Now we take note of what happened today, also because we cannot do anything else, and let’s only think about beating Udinese, to do our duty until the end, hoping in a positive result of Torino. Today nothing went the right way, we were never in the game. Let's only hope to still be in time to reach our objective, the Champions League.”

“I think that the fourth place is still possible. It's true, now were behind, but we can still hope. There are still 90 minutes left until the end of the season. First let's beat Udinese and then we'll see."

“I expect that Torino plays its game, like all the other teams did today, in this matchday, which saw particular results.”

Chi se ne frega!

Bzgl.

3 POINTS, THEN LET'S HOPE

Filippo Inzaghi, summarizes this way the feelings of the Rossoneri ahead of Sunday’s game which will be lived in a balance between San Siro and the Olimpico stadium of Turin. Inzaghi: “Still a positive season.”

MILAN – In the evening of the Gentleman Awards, here’s the serene and always significant figure of Filippo Inzaghi. In front of a lot of microphones, the Rossoneri’s champions responded to the questions on current affairs: “Sunday? We must try to win, we cannot do anything else apart from looking inside our home. Unfortunately the qualification does not depend from us only: we must do everything to take home the three points and then hope in a positive result in Turin. This is the only thing that we can do. What changes if we do not go to the Champions League? Nothing. We’re sorry about Napoli, it was an important game and we lost it, but Napoli was superior to us and deserved it just like we deserved it in the derby. In any case, if right now we’re not in fourth place, it’s not a problem due to the Napoli game. We made the situation a difficult one in other games, with important points lost at home. However, now we must not look behind us.”

Pippo continued like this: “Even without the fourth place, I believe that it was still a positive season. We’re still European champions at least until the Moscow final, we’re world champions and we won the European Super Cup. In the league we did not do so well, even we know it, just like we know that in the league we can do better. If we shall go to the Uefa Cup, we shall go gladly, to represent Italy at the highest level on the international scene, exactly like we did in these last years. And then next year we shall try to win the Scudetto, which we all care about. Closed cycle? About a closed cycle we can talk about it in the next years, if in the mean time we would have managed not to win anything. Now let’s think about Sunday. The Italian league is nice and exciting, just like in England they all give their best in all games. If then Fiorentina will finish fourth, we shall praise them.”

Und auch Seedorf meldet sich bzgl. UEFA-Cup zu Wort:

"If Fiorentina will reach the fourth place, we should notice that they had been better and for us will be the end of a period, is not a calamity, is a natural consequence after six year at the world top. We will restart form Uefa without problems, accepting the situation...".

ICHTHYS
Ancelotti: No Major Changes

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti reveals that he will not be making major changes in this summer's transfer campaign.

The Rossoneri have been a shadow of the team which lifted the Champions League last year. With certain players future's in doubt such as Rino Gattuso and Ronaldo, the San Siro based club will need to reinforce their squad.

There has been much talk of Ronaldinho, Drogba and Zambrotta arriving at Milanello but Ancelotti insists that there will not be a major reshuffle of his side.

"I don't think there will be any major changes but we will have a little restructuring here and there," Ancelotti told LA 7.

"With me on the bench there will always be minor changes and new people coming in but I am very calm about it.

"Sometimes things go well and at other times they don't, however we will see what happens."

The Rossoneri have already captured Matthieu Flamini from Arsenal on a free transfer and it seems as if Ancelotti will be looking to continue that trend of not spending mega bucks for players.

Milan still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League but they need to ensure they win and hope that Fiorentina lose at Torino.
