themanwho Silver Torah Geschrieben 7. April 2006 Diop signs new contract at FulhamFulham's Senegal midfielder Papa Bouba Diop has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2009. The powerful 28-year-old has been a key figure at Fulham since joining from Lens two years ago. Fulham boss Chris Coleman said: "I have always maintained that Bouba is an important player for this club. I am delighted that he has committed his future to us until 2009 as he is very much part of my plans." Diop will return to action this weekend against Sunderland after three months out with a foot injury. Coleman had previously been denied his services by his participation in the African Cup of Nations in Egypt. And, after only substitute appearance for Fulham, he picked up an injury playing an international friendly in March. Coleman added: "We have five games left and it's important we conclude the season positively with some good performances, and now he is back from injury, I'm glad Bouba will be part of the squad to help us do just that." And Diop said: "I am determined to help finish the season on a high note by playing my part in the remaining games, and am looking forward to my future being with Fulham." Coleman admits Diop is unlikely to play the whole game against Sunderland. "It will be a little bit of a gamble because he hasn't played 90 minutes for us since the beginning of November," said the Fulham boss. I would be surprised if he plays the 90 minutes. It could be he starts and doesn't finish or we might bring him on later in the game. We need the points and it's got to the stage where we're having to take a bit of a chance on him even though he is lacking the match practice." quelle : bbc ... moasta 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen

Pinturicchio fino alla fine Geschrieben 20. April 2006 Blues ready to sell Carvalho Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell Ricardo Carvalho, with Jose Mourinho lining up Manchester City's Sylvain Distin as his replacement. The Portugal international is believed to have been told by the Chelsea chief that he can leave Stamford Bridge, with the Blues already alerting Barcelona and Real Madrid to his availability. The player's agent Jorge Mendes is also trying to find a potential buyer for the 27-year-old. However, one stumbling block appears to be Chelsea's asking price which is thought to be close to the £10m mark. Mourinho is already on the lookout for defensive cover and Distin has emerged as a potential target. He has one year left on his current deal and has yet to agree a new contract with City - having also expressed his desire to play in the Champions League. With the Eastlands outfit struggling to balance the books, an offer from the champions would be hard to turn down, although Chelsea may turn their attention to Auxerre starlet Younes Kaboul. Carvalho's potential depature could also improve Chelsea's chances of keeping William Gallas, who has been linked with a move to AC Milan. teamtalk.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen

moasta dann halt wieder erstklassig Geschrieben 29. April 2006 Fulham have announced the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Jimmy Bullard in a £2.5 million deal.In a surprise move Bullard has put pen-to-paper on a four-deal at Craven Cottage, after Wigan's Premiership rivals triggered a clause in the player's contract by offering a fee in the region of £2.5 million. Wigan boss Paul Jewell stated earlier on Friday that he was eager to keep Bullard in the North West but also conceded that he was powerless to prevent the player from moving on. Bullard has proven an instrumental player in the club's meteoric rise, establishing himself as a driving force as Wigan swapped League One for The Premiership under Jewell's tutelage. The combative midfielder has been so impressive in his debut campaign in the top flight that there has even been talk of international recognition, with Bullard eligible to represent Germany. However, for now, Bullard will be concentrating his efforts on proving his credentials at a new employers, having left Wigan for Fulham, despite the club's hugely successful campaign - that also included a trip to Cardiff for the Carling Cup final. Fulham will secure Bullard's registration on May 8 when the transfer window reopens. Fulham FC have confirmed Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached between Fulham and Wigan to transfer the registration of Jimmy Bullard. The player has signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The registration of midfielder Jimmy Bullard will be transferred to Fulham on May 8 when the transfer window re-opens. vantheman10 Bunter Hund im ASB Geschrieben 14. Mai 2006 Lyon eye Van Nistelrooy swap deal Lyon could offer Van Nistelrooy a way out of Old Trafford Lyon could be prepared to do a deal with Manchester United for midfielder Mahamadou Diarra - in part exchange for striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. The French side are believed to want £25m for the 24-year-old from Mali but could accept a cash-plus-player deal. "It is sure Lyon are interested in Van Nistelrooy," club official Bernard Lacombe told the Daily Star. "It'll be a complicated financial deal unless we can exchange one of our players, like Diarra." Diarra is reportedly a United target with manager Sir Alex Ferguson seeing the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Roy Keane, who left the club by mutual consent last November. Meanwhile, speculation continues that Van Nistelrooy's career at Old Trafford may be over after he was left out for the final Premiership match of the season against Charlton and then banned from appearing in Keane's testimonial against Celtic last week. 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
