Hello!

My name is Michael Epikhin, I'm from Moscow, Russia.

It's the second time I'm trying to communicate with Austrian football fans, so I'll do my best to use my experience and make our dialogue interesting :)

I support Austria Wien about six years, so I have also learnt a lot about Austrian football since 2004. Prohazka and Polster became my favorite players of all time, and your national team makes me wonder as my own Russian team does :)

Using world wide web I get abreast of Austrian bundesliga, so I'm pride to say that I've watched about 80 games last three years and a lot of Austrian clubs's appearances in Eurocups. In spite of results, I always found it deserving of respect.

My problem is German language, that's why researching Austrian web comes difficulty for me sometimes. So I hope that our dialogue will let us find out much more about football in your and my countries.

Thank you and sorry for my terrible English :)

DerFremde, why not?) Although, I find Russian league much less attractive than yours. Spectacular game in Russia is a rarity, only 4-5 teams show interesting football, others just kicking the ball from whistle to whistle. In addition, often we hear that the game result was decided beforehand and that referee and players were payed. Russian football is really dirty.

On the other hand, watching bundesliga I see struggle, passion, charming combinational football where everything is possible. In my opinion, it lives his own life and doesn't matters if it's better than other championships or not. It's just special.

Also I've fallen in love with 1970-80 Das Team. Cordoba 3:2 is the greatest match I've ever seen.

Guten tag :)

Fuck Heraldry!

Well, to each his own. If you like it - good enough, welcome to the asb.

Cordoba 3:2 is the greatest match I've ever seen.

You'd make a good Austrian. No game is mentioned more often in the austrian media than this one. Some even believe that game is responsible for the austrian football becoming what and where it is today: hey, we may suck today, but at least we once beat Germany in the last century. Superstar

Привет! К сожалению, мне надо сказать, что Austria Wien был самой плохой выбор! Рапид, это гордость Австрии :feier:

Может быть, ты ещё понимаешь, что была ошибка. :winke:

Übersetzung: hab den typ nur schnell hingewiesen dass seine wahl schrott war und nur ein verein in wien und österreich der richtige ist :finger:

DerFremde, I understand :) Russian fans have the same problem. Spartak supporters always talk about their 9 golds (the last was in 2001), Zenit and CSKA often remembers their UEFA Cup medals. But when they do, their enemies pay attention on Lozanna, Zulte Waregem, Nacional and other little known European clubs which had beaten them one day. Concerning national team, since we won games against England and Netherlands our fans usually demand on fantastical result. Our footballers think their superstars but can do nothing with Slovenia, Slovakia, Israel... Today we have as strong team as we had had before Guus Hiddink came. Those days victory on Lichtenstein had been great gladness.

stefAn92, I just can't disagree :)

Stretford, green color makes me feel headache, so I just can't look at Rapid noway :)

Although, living far away from Austria, I don't think I can join Viollet fans hating Rapid. Yes, I have no special sympathy for it, but I can't really pretend to be their hater.

Actually, many Rapid fans live in Russia, that's true. Also I know some RB Salzburg, Sturm, Admira Wacker fans... When I was running the first Russian web site about Austrian football, I meet many people interested in your league.

Thanks for trying type in Russian :)
