Ich könnte die Verpflichtung von Hleb ehrlich gesagt nicht nachvollziehen. Im zentralen Mittelfeld hat Arsenal mit Fabegas, Vieira, Flamini und Gilberto vier ziemlich gleich starke Spieler, wobei ich den ersten beiden den Vorzug geben würde. Vor allem Fabregas hat das Potential dazu, in den nächsten zehn Jahren ein Großer im Weltfußball zu werden. Wer diesen Burschen schon spielen gesehen hat, wird wissen was ich meine. Der ist meiner Meinung nach besser als der Weißrusse.

Ronaldinho Viera, Flamini, Fabregas und Hleb würde ich als ideales Mittelfeld sehen. Gilberto finde ich nicht wirklich gut.

Fabregas, ja das wird einer der ganz großen, Gott sei DAnk und Arsenal, weil es mir ja irgendwie der sympathischte Verein in England ist wieder ein paar tolle Spieler. Irgendwie sind ja Edu, Gilberto verdammt fad, aber mit Senderos, Fabregas, Flamini kam wieder frisches Blut rein.

Besonders fad finde ich den Campbell, fragt mich aber nicht warum.

Besonders fad finde ich den Campbell, fragt mich aber nicht warum.

Fad? Also mir persönlich sind kompromißlose Innenterteidiger lieber als irgendwelche Möchtegern-Ballkünstler. Da kann er noch so fad spielen wie er will. Wobei ich aber auch finde, dass Ferdinand und Terry in der Spielweise schon eine Stufe über Campbell stehen.

Mit Willy Sagnol vom FC Bayern wird laut Medien schon verhandelt. Würde eine Verpflichtung von ihm sehr begrüßen, auf der rechten Position sind wir mit Lauren und Toure meiner Meinung nach sowieso nicht gut genug besetzt.

Doch leider gibt es nicht nur Gerüchte bezüglich Neuzugängen. Angeblich will Chelsea- Coach Jose Mourinho Ashley Cole zu den "Blues" lotsen. Ein Verlust vom Links- Verteidiger wäre ohne Zweifel ein Riesen- Verlust, ich hoffe, dass man ihn halten kann.

Henry, Campbell may return

Thierry Henry is fit again

Thierry Henry is back in the Arsenal squad for the visit of Everton on Wednesday night.

The French striker picked up a groin problem the day before the FA Cup Semi-Final on April 16 and has been sidelined ever since. With only two games before the Final, Henry’s return has come just in time.

Freddie Ljungberg (hip) has been in a similar predicament and, at best, will play some sort of role at Birmingham on Sunday in the final game of the Premiership season.

Sol Campbell also needs a game before the Cardiff clash. The centre back has been fit for weeks but the form of Philippe Senderos has blocked his path. Wenger revealed the England defender is likely to play a part in one or both of the final games.

Meanwhile, Gilberto has picked up an ankle injury and will miss the Everton match. However he is expected to recover for Sunday.

“Thierry is back in the squad,” said Wenger at today's pre-match press conference. “I am very surprised by that but it is not gained yet, we’ll see how he reacts to training and playing. I am not sure [if I’ll start him tomorrow] but I don’t think so.

“Sol Campbell will also get one or two games before the Final. I don’t know if he’ll start but it is a possibility.

“Freddie Ljungberg is back in training as well. But for him it depends on the situation. I may give him a game or half against Birmingham if he is doing well.

“Gilberto is out with an ankle injury tomorrow but he should play against Birmingham on Sunday. However Mathieu Flamini has been added to the squad.”

Arsenal rejected agent's fee

Arsenal will tell tomorrow's Premier League inquiry into the Ashley Cole 'tapping' affair that his agent wanted £750,000 from the club as part of the deal to give a new contract to the England left-back.

Talks about a new five-year agreement were well advanced and appeared to be progressing well until Jonathan Barnett asked for the money for his role in the negotiations. Barnett said he wanted Arsenal to pay him £150,000 a year for the five years of the deal. Standard Sport can reveal that the Arsenal board of directors dismissed the request unanimously when it was submitted to them - and talks have been deadlocked since that decision.

There was a difference between club and player about the basic wage 24-year-old Cole should earn but the club were confident that the issue could be resolved. But they steadfastly refused to pay any money to Barnett for arranging the contract. The demand from Barnett and Arsenal's rejection of the proposal are certain to form part of the club's evidence when the inquiry meets tomorrow and Wednesday.

Cole will continue to train this week and will play in Saturday's FA Cup Final against Manchester United. Manager Arsene Wenger says contract talks will resume once the hearing is over. Cole and Chelsea have been charged by the Premier League over an alleged meeting in a west London hotel in which chief executive Peter Kenyon, manager Jose Mourinho, agent Pini Zahavi, Barnett and Cole were present. The meeting, it is alleged, was a blatant breach of Premiershiprules governing contact with a player under contract at another club.

There have been suggestions that if Chelsea are found guilty they could face a points deduction but a financial penalty is more likely. There is no doubt, however, that Arsenal will be furious if an illegal approach for Cole is proven and will demand a stiff penalty.

The timing of the inquiry has been criticised by Wenger, who believes it will be a distraction as he prepares his team for the Cup Final. Mourinho will attend the hearing before heading to Chelsea's trip to South Korea.

Mourinho and Cole were charged on 23 March. Cole was formally charged under Rule K5, governing approaches from players to clubs while Chelsea were charged under Rule K3, which governs approaches from clubs to players. Mourinho was charged under Rule Q, governing managers' conduct.

The chairman of the independent commission will be former High Court judge Sir Philip Otton.

irgendwann sollte man sich vielleicht doch über fixe anteile der spielerberater an einem neuen vertrag einig werden und einen gewissen prozentsatz fix anschreiben, wo es dann nichts zu rüttenl bzw. fordern gibt - denke nämlich nicht das solch überzogene forderungen nur in diesem fall auftreten

Dennis Bergkamp has finally put pen-to-paper for Arsenal.

The Dutchman signed his deal last week which confirms he will play on for at least one more year.

The 36-year-old had been growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of talks late last season.

However, a new deal rarely seemed in doubt and Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this month his intention was to keep Bergkamp.

The Dutch maestro's agent Rob Jansen confirmed to skysports.com that the deal was done and dusted.

"Everything is settled with Dennis, it is signed and done," he confirmed.

Bergkamp has been with Arsenal for ten years after joining from Internazionale and is widely considered to be one of the best foreign players the English game has ever seen.

Golden Shoe fits for Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry has won the Golden Shoe award as Europe’s top marksman.

The Arsenal striker, who struck 25 goals in 31 Premiership games this season, will share the prize with Diego Forlan of Villareal after they both got 50 points.

Henry has become the first player to win the award in consecutive years since it was relaunched in 1996/97 and only the sixth to win it a second time. Former Manchester United striker Forlan went level with the Frenchman after bagging a brace against Levante in the final round of matches in the Spanish League on Sunday.

The Golden Shoe award is a competition to find the best goalscorer across Europe. A player’s tally is multiplied by 2, 1.5 or 1 depending on the perceived strength of the League in which they are scored.

Only the leading five countries on the UEFA Ranking after the 2000/01 season have two as their mutiplier. These are Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England.

ein wechsel muss her, da besteht kein zweifel, denn der vertrag von bergkamp ist ja noch nicht verlängert worden, also bin ich mir noch nicht ganz sicher ob er bleibt./bleiben darf besser gesagt.

und jose antonio reyes wird aller wahrscheinlichkeiten nach auch verkauft/verliehen/getauscht.. werden.

und somit hätten wir nur henry und van persie die für große torgefahr sorgen könnten.

das einzige was schön langsam aber wirklich seltsam wird -> wieder ein franzose.

nicht das ich was gegen die franzosen habe, aber immer nur franzosen kommt mir echt seltsam vor.

neben diesen mann sollte man aber auf alle fälle noch einen stürmer holen, denn nur 3 stürmer wäre zu wenig.

ich nehme einmal an, dass der 17-jährige ein spitzen spieler ist. hoffe ich zumindest sonst wäre ich natürlich gegen diesen wechsel.

mein wunsch wäre ja ganz klar - Sidney Govou – 25- Jahre (auch franzose )

Freddie in Gunners warning

Freddie Ljungberg has warned Arsenal that he will quit Highbury unless the club match his own ambitions.

A miserable week for the North London outfit has seen Ashley Cole express his discontentment at the club, while Ljungberg has now intimated that he is not ready to ink a new deal.

The talented Swede, 28-years-old, believes Arsenal need to show more ambition in the transfer market and not continue to rely on youth - for which Arsene Wenger is famed for nurturing.

Ljungberg's current deal expires at the close of next season and it is a stark ultimatum that has been issued by the free-scoring midfielder.

''I won't re-sign if the club's ambition does not match mine,'' Ljungberg told the Sunday Express.

''The biggest thing is the Champions League but I can't see how we can achieve that if we are bringing in 18 and 19-year-olds, then expecting them to play 30 matches at the top level.

''What I am saying is not about money - it is about ambition.''
