Ich hab letztens ein längeres Interview mit Saviola gesehen. Da hat er gesagt das er am Anfang nicht so glücklich war als man ihm mitteilte das er ausgeliehen werden soll. Aber inzwischen habe isch das geändert. Er fühlt sich wohl bei Monaco, aber er habe ein Ziel vor Augen und das ist die Rückkehr nach Barcelona. Ausserdem sagte er das ja das System doch ein wenig geändert wurde und er da gut reinpassen würde. Ausserdem habe er noch immer Kontakt mit Laporta, der ihn oft nach der Sitaution in Monaco fragt.

Also die zwei Wunschkandidaten sind Dacourt und Tacchinardi. Wobei Rijkaard lieber Tacchinardi hätte. Er ist mittlerweile 100% davon überzeugt, das er der richtige wäre. Gespräche zwischen Juve und Barca haben bereits stattgefunden. Sie waren positiv. Barca will Tacchinardi bis Ende Saison ausliehen (wie bei Davids).

Ludovic Giuly ist wieder fit und wird gegen Osasuna wohl auch von Beginn weg spielen.

Levante möchte Sergio Garcia kaufen. Er ist ja nur eine Saison ausgliehen. Schuster ist sehr zufrieden mit ihm, er will ihn behalten und kaufen. Sergio Garcia ist nicht abgeneigt und sagte das er das aber nicht in der Hand habe da er nur ausgeliehen sein. Aber die Saison ist ja noch jung.

Sylvinho`s Verletzung verheilt nicht gut und er wird weitere 3-4 Wochen pausieren müssen.

Laut sport soll die Liste für die potentiellen Neuzugänge stehen. Barcelona hat vorallem 3 Wunschkandidaten. Alessio Tacchinardi, Edu und Olivier Dacourt. Einer dieser 3 möchte man gerne für das DM haben. Bei Dacourt und Edu ist das Problem das man sie kaufen müsste und Barca eher ein Leihgeschäft will. Darum ist Tacchinardi Favorit. Weitere Kandidaten sind Javier Mascherano, Vagner, Cristiano Zanetti und Anders Svensson.

Am Mittwoch trifft Barcelona in der Copa del Rey auf Gramenet. Ronaldinho, Puyol und Belletti sind fraglich, da sich alle gestern leicht verletzt haben. Ronnie und Belletti konnten nicht trainieren und auch Puyol musste die Übung abbrechen. Allerdings ist keiner ernsthaft verletzt. Puyol und Ronnie dürften fit werden für das Cup-Spiel gegen Gramenet und Belletti ist sehr fraglich. Allerdings wird Rijkaard wahrscheinlich sowieso 2-3 Spieler schonen und Leuten wie Iniesta eine Chancen geben.

So sehe ich das auch, eine Verpflichtung würde absolut keinen Sinn machen, weil er es, wenn alle wieder fit sind, sicherlich nicht in die erste Elf schaffen könnte.

Ein Leihgeschäft geht in Ordnung, da würden alle Seiten davon profitieren. Barca müsste nicht all zu viel Geld ausgeben, hätte einen erstklassigen defensiven Mittelfeldspieler für den Rest der Saison, Juve einen teuren Banklwärmer im Kader weniger und Tacchinardi kommt wieder zu Einsätzen auf höchster Ebene, um sich für neue Vereine zu empfehlen, sollte Juve für nächstes Jahr nicht mehr mit ihm planen.

One win from the record

After beating Osasuna, Barça have now won seven games and drawn one and are just one more victory away from equalling their best ever start in the league, which came in the 97/98 season.

If they defeat Athletic Bilbao next week, Frank Rijkaard's side will be on a par with the club's best over start, which was eight wins and a draw, achieved in 97/98 when Louis van Gaal was in charge and the side went on to claim the league title.

That year, Barça won all of its six first matches Real Sociedad (3-0), Valencia (0-3), Deportivo la Coruña (2-1), Sporting Gijón (1-4), Tenerife (3-2) and Mallorca (0-1)-, drew with Compostela (2-2), and then beat Racing (2-0) and Real Madrid (2-3).

The current Barça team has so far beaten Racing (0-2), Sevilla (2-0), Zaragoza (4-1), Mallorca (1-3), Numancia (1-0), Espanyol (0-1) and Osasuna (3-0), but drew with Atlético Madrid (1-1).

If we compare the 97/98 and 04/05 stats after eight matches, we find that Frank Rijkaard's side is better in several aspects:

Less goals against: Víctor Valdés is the goalkeeper with the best record in the league right now, having let in just three goals, while the keeper back then, Ruud Hesp, had let in six. Barça 2004/05 has the best defensive record in the present league.

Same goal difference: Both Barça teams had the same +14 goal difference at this stage of the season. Eto'o is currently the leading goalscorer in the competition, while back in 97/98 Rivaldo and Luis Enrique topped the team scoring charts and were level with other players who had also netted six times in their first eight matches.

Leaders after eight games: Rijkaard's Barça is flying high at the top of the table, with a total of 22 points. They are five points ahead of Sevilla on 17 points and eight ahead of Valencia on 14. Van Gaal's team, which had the same 22 points and went on to win the league, was also top of the table. But they were not in such a comfortable position, with just a four-point cushion between themselves and Real Madrid on eighteen, followed by Valencia on 17 and then Espanyol and Real Sociedad on 16 points.

The last team to get seven wins and a draw before Van Gaal was the 90/91 Barça team, trained by Johan Cruyff. That team also went on to win the league with several games in hand.

Another milestone

Barça beat Espanyol 0-1 in their seventh game of the season, and that meant that Rijkaard and his team had equalled a previous record of six wins and a draw set in 90/91 and 97/98.

Joan Laporta hat am Rande des G-14 Gipfels erste Gespräche mit Juventus und Arsenal bezüglich Tacchinardi bzw Edu geführt. Laporta sagt allerdings das der Zeitpunkt für Verhandlungen noch nicht gekommen ist und man den Markt weiterhin beobachtet. Eine Entscheidung habe man noch nicht getroffen.

Im Cupspiel gegen Gramenet (Heute, 21:45 Uhr) werden Ronaldinho, Belletti und Deco geschont. Ronnie und Belletti sind nach dem Osasuna-Spiel vom letzten Sonntag noch etwas angeschlagen, während Deco von Rijkaard eine Ruhepause bekommt.

No complacency in Cup debut

FC Barcelona makes its Cup debut tonight away to local side Gramenet. The starting line-up will experience a number of changes but Frank Rijkaard is confident his men can do the job.

Manager Frank Rijkaard has called on his players to be fully focussed on Wednesday night's Cup game aginst local club Gramenet. Rijkaard will make a number of changes in his starting line-up due to injury problems for Ronaldinho and Belletti while Deco is rested. However, he has emphasized his total confidence in his squad.

With a number of regulars missing, players such as Iniesta, Messi and Larsson may well figure in the starting line-up. Reserve side goalkeeper Rubén accompanies first choice Valdés in the squad while central defender Oleguer returns to the stadium of his former club.

The match will be played on the new artificial pitch of the Nou Camp Municipal stadium. The Barca players have some experience of the pitch having played there in last season's Cup campaign. However, the new artificial turf is denser and has a higher blade than last season.

In the 2000-01 season, the format of this round of the Cup competition was changed to a knockout system instead of the previous two-leg system. Since then, Barca has been eliminated on two occasions - against Figueres (2001/02) and Novelda (2002/03) - and has gone through to the next round also on two occasions - against Gramenet last season and Gandía in the 2000/01 season.

The opponent

UDA Gramenet is located in the Barcelona suburb of Santa Coloma and plays its football in Division 2B. The club is regularly involved in the fight for promotion to Division 2A but has started this season disappointingly. However, manager Julià García, in his third season with the club, has a strong squad and is expected to challenge for one of the promotion places. Gramenet lost the home league clash against Barca B 1-3 earlier in the season and currently lies 16th, with two wins, three draws and four defeats.

A record lead

This is the first time since the Spanish League adopted three points for a win that after ten matches, a team, in this case Barça, has been seven points clear of the side in second place.

Barça has collected 26 of the 30 points available. That is a remarkable achievement, which has only been matched twice, by Atlético Madrid (1995/96 season) and FC Barcelona (1996/97 season), since the three points for a win system was introduced for the 1995/96 season.

But where Frank Rijkaards side differs from the other two is in the number of points it is clear of the team in second place. Since 1995/96, there has never been such a wide margin between the top two teams after ten games. In fact, there has never been a bigger gap than four points at this stage of the season, as shown in the table below.

A very special Barça-Madrid

Before this weekend, Barça was six points clear of Sevilla, but that difference has been extended by the fact that Barcelona beat Deportivo while Sevilla were held by Mallorca. This has allowed Real Madrid to advance into second place, just two weeks before the two sides come face to face at the Camp Nou.

There are few teams in Europe that can boast the same unbeaten record as Frank Rijkaard. At this stage of the season, only three other teams in Europes major leagues have also avoided defeat: PSV Eindhoven (9 wins and 2 draws), Lyon (8 wins and 5 draws) and Porto (4 wins and 4 draws). Juventus was also unbeaten until last Saturday, when they were surprisingly beaten by little Reggiana.
