Darren England famously ignored a VAR call two years ago in a Tottenham v Liverpool game where a Liverpool goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside. It was investigated after the game and PGMOL stated that it was “significant human error” from Darren England, that he did not go to VAR to check and overrule the referee. 
 

However, last weekend he correctly overruled the referee in Newcastle v Arsenal from the VAR truck. A penalty was given to Arsenal, but Darren England saw Nick Pope’s foot touch the ball before the defender after replaying the incident numerous times. 
 

Maybe he is just better now.

Well at least we have nothing to adjust to, as we are used to horrible referees and ridiculous decisions from our league games. So it will feel like a home game - in casino
