Robbie Stockdale

Nationalität: England

Geburtsdatum: 30.11.1979

Größe: 1.80 m

Gewicht: 71 kg

Position: Verteidiger

This smart young right-back staked his claim with impressive performances since making his debut as an 18-year-old in a 2-0 FA Cup win over Queens Park Rangers.

Looking around him at the other English players in his position around the Premiership, he might even start to think of a full international call-up before too long. That did come, but not as he would have expected.

Was only ever really a squad player at Boro, so in September 2000 he took the chance to join First Division Sheffield Wednesday on loan. Made six appearances for the Owls - and didn't play at all for Boro that season.

However, the arrival of Steve McClaren as Boro boss gave the player a new lease of life and he enjoyed a fine 2001/02 - playing in most of the club's games.

Also earned his international bow in April 2002 - for Scotland, the country of his grandparents' birth! Made his debut against Nigeria. It was only the season before that he had made his debut for the England Under-21 side!

By the start of the 2002/03 season, Stockdale had 50 Premiership starts under his belt with Boro.

Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass Stockdale ein wenig mehr Sicherheit in die immer wieder konfuse Hintermannschaft meiner Hammers bringt, ob er dies mit seinen erst 23 Jahren schaffen kann werden wir wohl abwarten müssen!

West Ham hat den Stürmer Marlon Harewood von Nottingham Forrest verpflichtet. Der 24 Jährige Stürmer hält bei 11 Saisontoren und wechselt für 500.000 Pfund.
