Milan: Sheva can quit Chelsea

Milan are waiting for Andriy Shevchenko to demand a transfer from Chelsea. “He knows what to do,” said Adriano Galliani.

“I speak to Sheva often. He knows what he has to do,” the Vice-President told ‘Il Giornale’ newspaper.

Patron Silvio Berlusconi and Coach Carlo Ancelotti have also publicly stated that the Ukrainian is more than welcome to return to the San Siro just 12 months after his £30m move.

It is reported that Chelsea have rejected a loan deal and that Milan consider £15m to be too much to buy back the Balon d’Or winner.

Other candidates for the club include Antonio Cassano of Real Madrid and Inter’s unsettled hitman Adriano.

“Is Cassano a real target or a bluff? You decide,” added Galliani. “We have signed four players from Inter. Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf are still first team players, Dario Simic and Christian Brocchi just behind, while the ex-Rossoneri we sent to Appiano Gentile are long gone.

Milan had said they would bring back Massimo Donati, but instead sold him to Celtic for £3m, so will there be a major midfield acquisition?

“We will sign one player, certainly. We think that the entire squad is covered and too much competition would only create problems.

Some sections of the media consider this pared down transfer campaign to be a sign of weakness for the European Champions.

Milan hat endlich ein Angebot für Motta vorgelegt. Dieses beläuft sich derzeit zwar erst auf 3 Mio.€ aber ich bin optimistisch, dass man sich einigen wird (mit dem spieler soll ja angeblich schon Einigung bestehen).

Von Barca gewünschte Ablöse sind etwa 5-6 Mio.€! Ich rechne mit etwa 4,5 Mio.€ für Motta!

Grosso considers Lyon offer

Fabio Grosso is seriously considering a move to Olympique Lyonnais, said the Inter man’s agent.

“There has been an approach from the French side and after Eric Abidal’s transfer to Barcelona, the negotiations could take off,” explained representative Danilo Caravello.

“This could be the decisive week. Either we conclude the move to Lyon or Fabio remains at Inter.”

Although Caravello did not confirm the details of the proposal, newspapers claim Lyon have offered a four-year contract worth £1.7m per season – almost double his current wages.

“Fabio is a World Cup winner and we are carefully evaluating both the technical and economic aspects of the deal,” he told the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport.’

“France represents a fascinating opportunity, but we also have to take into account Fabio’s ambitions with Inter, a club where the player is happy despite an unfortunate year.”

Since shooting to fame in the 2006 World Cup, where he converted the decisive penalty in the Final shoot-out victory over France, Grosso has struggled to make an impact at Inter.

The left-back has been wracked with injuries and made just 23 Serie A appearances.

da simmer froh, dass milan seit jahren so gut wirtschaftet und nicht auf einen gönner angewiesen ist, der richter bestechen muss

zu chivu: die situation ist für roma eigentlich nicht unangenehm. dass chivu geht, damit hat man sich schon abgefunden. wenn sich real jetzt den spieler einbildet, macht ihn das nur teurer und treibt inter hoch! und wenn sich wirklich ein tauschgeschäft mit cicinho anbahnt, wär ich mehr als happy!

Lampard leans towards Juve

Frank Lampard has reportedly rejected a new contract offer at Chelsea, fuelling claims he will join Claudio Ranieri at Juventus.

The media in England suggests that the wages proposed would be higher than the £121,000 per week given to Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack.

However, the delay in making the offer has reportedly angered Lampard, who under FIFA rules could buy himself out of his two-year contract.

The midfielder had already been heavily linked with a summer move to Juventus and these reports will prompt negotiations to intensify.

Coach Ranieri has named Lampard as one of the prime objectives for his new-look Bianconeri, who return to the top flight after a year in Serie B.

"In an ideal world, it would have happened three weeks ago but it is not an ideal world," said the England international.

"It feels strange. It is something I am trying to keep my mind off. You get on with it. I am not surprised by it, because nothing surprises you in football."

Serie A In Debt - An analysis by the Italian daily newspaper 'Il Sole 24 Ore' has discovered that the total debt of the Serie A teams amounts to 380 million Euros.

A worrying result has come out of the analysis carried out by 'Il Sole 24 Ore', where it was found out that Italian football is in red, with a loss of 380 million Euros in the past season.

The team with the worst balance is Inter, with a loss of 181.5 million Euros, almost half of the entire Serie A losses, and in 'second place' we find Juventus with a loss of 36.5 million Euros.

The other big Italian team, Milan, has a profit of 2.48 million Euros, thanks to the sale of 42 million Euros of Andriy Shevchenko which allowed the European Champions to end in the green side of the balance.
