Reggina confirm City deal

Reggina have confirmed they have reached agreement with Manchester City for the sale of striker Rolando Bianchi.

As skysports.com reported on Tuesday, City have jumped into pole position to land Bianchi - ahead of the likes of Juventus and Napoli.

Now the Serie A club have confirmed that they are set to sell their prized asset to City.

"We have reached a preliminary agreement with Manchester City for the permanent transfer of Rolando Bianchi to the English club in €13million euros (£8.7million) transfer deal," Reggina president Lillo Foti confirmed.

"The deal will be completed on Wednesday."

Bianchi is now in line to become the first signing of the Sven Goran Eriksson era at City.

Il Milan avrebbe fatto un sondaggio presso il Palermo per Leandro Rinaudo, difensore centrale rosanero nell'ultima stagione in prestito al Siena e da tempo nel mirino di Ariedo Braida, uomo mercato rossonero.

Sul giocatore c'è peraltro anche il Genoa e non è da escludere che le due società - "vicine" dopo il passaggio di Marco Borriello in rossoblù - provino ad acquistare il giocatore in comproprietà: Rinaudo potrebbe quindi restare in Liguria per un anno e tra dodici mesi i due club si ritroverebbero per valutare l'eventuale definitivo passaggio del difensore al Milan.

8 mio für chivu und 28 für pepe - na eh klar und so.

na jedenfalls wird sich der gute herr chivu jetzt entweder auf eine horrorsaison in rom einstellen dürfen oder den mafioso beali in den wind schießen und bei der roma den mexes-vertrag unterschreiben.

Preso atto del secco no di Cristian Chivu a Barcellona e Real Madrid, l'Inter ha dimezzato l'offerta da presentare alla Roma per il difensore rumeno. Dai 14 milioni più Obinna, i nerazzurri sono scesi fino a 8 milioni, facendosi forti della volontà del giocatore, il cui contratto con i giallorossi scadrà nel giugno del prossimo anno.

Chivu's Agent In Roma Power-Play

As the Cristian Chivu bandwagon rumbles on, the Gazetta dello Sport speculates that the player's agent is taking the initiative away from Roma - starting by saying that the Romanian centre-back is still a giallorossi player...

As Roma and Chivu reach a showdown, the player's agent is at the thick of it.

Roma want to offload the star defender this summer to net themselves a hefty transfer fee, while the player's agent reputedly wants him to remain in the Italian capital.

This would allow Cristian to walk away on a Bosman next summer, perhaps giving player (and agent) a larger signing-on fee.

Right now, however, the player's agent seems to hold all the cards. The Gazetta dello Sport quoted agent Joan Becali telling the press, "We are waiting for the fax from Roma to confirm Cristian's presence at the July 16th squad gathering to Trigoria. We have no intention of dealing with Real Madrid or Barcelona; Roma is a strong team and we can win the title."

The Gazetta speculates that the "we" used by the agent is significant language. While Chivu is still more likely to leave than not, the agent is making it clear that he and his client hold all the cards, and Cristian will not be sent to Spain against his will - nor his agent's.

Internazionale remain favourites to land the Romanian internationalist, but agreements are yet to be reached.
