Mihajlovic pens Inter deal Friday 30 July, 2004

Sinisa Mihajlovic is the latest Lazio player to sign for Internazionale by joining the Italian giants on Friday.

The 35-year-old has moved to the outfit at the request of new boss Roberto Mancini after his capital contract expired.

The veteran stopper put pen to paper on a 12-month deal at the San Siro club this afternoon.

"Another champion has joined Inter," stated President Giacinto Facchetti. "Mihajlovic is a great player with quality and experience.

"I’m certain that he will give an important contribution to the team in the new campaign.

"We listened to the needs of boss Mancini and signed the player while keeping within our financial plans - which have characterised our transfer activity this summer."

The Serbian will join Dejan Stankovic, Giuseppe Favalli, Mancini and Juan Veron who all played for the Biancocelesti in the past.

Inter are Mihajlovic’s fourth Italian club after previous spells at Roma, Sampdoria and Lazio.

Ich weiß ja nicht wie das in Italien so läuft aber ein 35-jähriger Spieler mit Talent? Und das Mihajlovic? Bei aller Liebe aber nein, ganz sicher nicht.

Und was nützt es einem ihn "gratis" zu bekommen, wenn er erstens zu alt ist und gar nicht benötigt wird?

Vllt. lässt ihn Mancini statt Coco spielen (wüsste jez gar nicht, welche Position Sinisa in der Abwehr einnimmt), damit unser Altersdurchschnitt noch höher wird ... man will schließlich die magische 30 erreichen

Ich finde den Transfer wieder mal unnötig - wozu??

eigentlich fällt dieser Transfer unter die Rubrik "kein kommentar"!

Schätze mal dass der Transfer allein von Roberto Mancini ausgegangen ist, denke nicht dass das Inter-Management ihn unbedingt holen wollte

Denke ich mir auch. Mancini wollte seinen alten Kumpel vor der Arbeitslosigkeit bewahren.

Einen anderer Grund für diese Verpflichtung fällt mir aber wirklich nicht ein, zumindest kein sportlicher. Denn Mihajlovic hat seinen Zenit eigentlich schon längst überschritten und kann keinem Verein der Welt mehr helfen.

Nach dem einen Jahr ist er sicher eh weg, oder er wird Co-Trainer von Mancini oder etwas ähnliches.
