MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 9. Oktober 2007 (bearbeitet) Livorno sack Orsi Fernando Orsi has won the Serie A sack race after Livorno President Aldo Spinelli lost patience with the Amaranto’s stuttering start. The Tuscans are propping up the table and are still awaiting their first win after seven games. “Fernando Orsi has been sacked, but we are still looking for a replacement and do not have a name yet,” an official statement from Spinelli read. The decision came just days after Spinelli denied he was considering wielding the axe and stressed his support for the struggling tactician. Orsi didn’t show up to the Labronici’s afternoon training session after a 1-0 defeat at Catania last weekend and second in command Luciano Spinosi is temporarily at the helm. Ex-Inter assistant Orsi arrived in Week 30 of last season after the dismissal of Daniele Arrigoni and managed three wins, four draws and nine defeats at the club. channel4.com bearbeitet 14. MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 12. Oktober 2007 (bearbeitet) Camolese follows Orsi New Livorno boss Giancarlo Camolese has a huge task ahead, but he thinks he is up to the challenge. “I’m here to save the Amaranto.” The Tuscans are propping up the Serie A table and are without a win after seven games – a run which prompted President Aldo Spinelli to sack Fernando Orsi. Camolese kept Reggina afloat in 2003-04, but has no other top-flight experience and was fired by Serie B Vicenza after just five games last term. Faced with the daunting prospect of rebuilding a punch-drunk side under the watchful eye of one of calcio’s most volatile Presidents, Camolese is confident. “I have come here to keep Livorno up,” he stressed. “From tomorrow it’s back to work and there’s so much to do. “It will take a lot of sweat to keep this team up, but I know the players and I don’t think they deserve to be bottom. “We must play with grit and determination and start getting results immediately. "The only way to get the fans back on side is to start winning and I can’t wait to get started.” Camolese’s first game will be a passionate clash against Lazio on October 21 – a fixture known for tensions between left-wing sections of the Livorno support and right-wing elements of Lazio’s faithful. channel4.com bearbeitet 27. MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 1. November 2007 Reggina sack Ficcadenti Reggina have parted company with Coach Massimo Ficcadenti after last night’s defeat against Livorno. The ex-Verona man’s days seemed to be numbered when President Lillo Foti hinted that he couldn’t see the club moving forward with him at the helm. When Ficcadenti didn't turn up to take training today, youth Coach Roberto Breda was left to break the news to the squad. A 3-1 reverse against Livorno left the Calabrian minnows rock bottom and facing a bitter struggle against the drop. Ficcadenti arrived in the summer to replace the highly successful Walter Mazzarri, but there was little to suggest he could keep the Amaranto afloat. The young tactician’s last job ended in dismissal as he led an expectant Verona side towards relegation to Serie C. Ficcadenti is the second man to receive his marching orders after Livorno’s Feranando Orsi won the dreaded Serie A sack race lat month. Ex-Bologna boss Renzo Ulivieri is believed to be in pole position to take the Stadio Granillo hot seat. The respected Coach is believed to be meeting with Foti today and may return to the side he led in 1998-99 in Serie B. Other candidates for the job are ex-Siena man Mario Beretta and veteran Nedo Sonetti. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 13. November 2007 Cagliari sack Giampaolo Cagliari have officially announced the dismissal of Coach Marco Giampaolo with a statement on the club’s website. A 3-0 home defeat against Sampdoria was the final act in a miserable start to the season for the ex-Ascoli tactician. “Cagliari would like to communicate that Marco Giampaolo has been dismissed. The club would like to thank him for his efforts,” the simple statement reads. It is the second time that Giampaolo has been sacked in two years. The 40-year-old boss was reinstated at the helm last term after a brief spell under Franco Colomba. Experienced Coach Nedo Sonetti is expected to take the reigns, but assistant Fabio Micarelli may take over temporarily. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen

MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 13. November 2007 Cagliari appoint Sonetti Nedo Sonetti has officially been named as the new Cagliari boss after the dismissal of Marco Giampaolo earlier today. The 66-year-old veteran returns to the club he guided to survival in 2005-06 for a third spell at the Stadio Sant’Elia. The Isolani are one of five teams locked together on nine points at the bottom of the table and could have a relegation dogfight on the horizon. Sonetti has been unemployed since suffering relegation with Ascoli last term and had been heavily linked with the Reggina and Livorno jobs. His appointment is one of Italian football's worst kept secrets as he has been linked with the post since the weekend. The wily tactician will now have the international break to get to know his new side and is likely to take training on Thursday after his official presentation tomorrow. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen

MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 26. November 2007 Palermo sack Colantuono Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has sacked Coach Stefano Colantuono and called in Francesco Guidolin for a fourth spell. The Sicilians were hammered 5-0 by Juventus last night to leave them in equal sixth after an inconsistent campaign. Colantuono arrived from Atalanta in pre-season, but he has struggled to make his mark and been publicly criticised by Zamparini. “The club wants to communicate that we have taken control of the side away from Stefano Colantuono,” a statement reads on the club website. “We want to thank Colantuono for all his work and the post will be given to Francesco Guidolin.” There seems to be no bad blood between the departing boss and the directors as Colantuono made a conciliatory statement on Radio Radio. “I don’t want to cause controversy – these things happen in football,” he stressed. “I want to thank the club for the opportunity and I’m leaving the side in sixth place.” Guidolin arrives again having already taken charge of the side on three occasions. The ex-Monaco man only left the post at the end of last term and reportedly refused the Queens Park Rangers job just over a month ago. Colantuono is the fifth Coach to receive his marching orders following Marco Giampaolo, Andrea Mandorlini, Massimo Ficcadenti and Fernando Orsi. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 27. November 2007 Empoli axe Cagni Struggling Empoli have dismissed Coach Gigi Cagni and brought in Alberto Malesani as his replacement. The Tuscans are 18th in Serie A and have shown no signs of repeating last season’s historic UEFA Cup finish. Cagni was also unable to inspire the Azzurri in Europe where they were knocked out by FC Zurich. A stalemate with Torino brought the curtain down on Cagni’s reign and left the experienced tactician puzzled with the club’s decision. “I don’t understand how you can say that the team wasn’t behind me when we played such a good second half against Torino,” he lamented. “So many things could be said at this point, but I’d prefer to just accept the decision and say that my errors were decisive,” New man Malesani has been out of work since a spell at Udinese last term. The fiery Coach has also spent time on the bench at Fiorentina, Verona, Modena and Panathinaikos. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
Beitrag melden Geschrieben 29. Dezember 2007 Ballardini for Cagliari - official After a period of uncertainty, Cagliari have officially unveiled Davide Ballardini as their new Coach. Marco Giampaolo started the season at the helm at the Stadio Sant’Elia but was replaced by Nedo Sonetti in November. However, the experienced boss was unable to arrest the Rossoblu’s freefall and opted to reign as rumours circulated that he would be axed. Giampaolo is still under contract, but he refused to return to the club and finally Ballardini has taken the hot seat. “Cagliari are pleased to reveal that Ballardini is the new Coach. We would like to thank Sonetti for his work and his consummate professionalism,” a statement on the club’s website reads. Ballardini is just 44-years-old and has limited experience having been in charge of Serie C Sambenedettese and Parma’s Primavera youth side. He also took the reigns at Cagliari back in 2005 in a similar situation before ironically making way for Sonetti. Ballardini’s debut for the rock bottom Sardinians is a tough test against high-flying Udinese on January 13. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 3. März 2008 Reggina axe Ulivieri Reggina have sacked Coach Renzo Ulivieri and replaced him with former youth boss Nevio Orlandi. Veteran tactician Ulivieri replaced the hapless Massimo Ficcadenti last November and has failed to lift the Calabrians out of the danger zone, despite a positive start. Just 10 days after securing a monumental win over Juventus, Reggina President Lillo Foti has called time on Ulivieri’s reign. “Reggina want to thank Ulivieri for his technical and human contribution, but he has been relieved of his duties,” a statement on the club’s website reads. Yesterday's 0-0 draw with Palermo proved to be the final straw and cemented Ulivieri's position as the eighth Coach to be fired this term. While the news comes as a shock to the Press, Ulivieri claims that he saw this decision coming. “I honestly expected it,” he lamented on Radio Kiss Kiss. “The atmosphere and the relationships here weren’t calm. “This decision was the logical progression – I wasn’t born yesterday. It’s obvious when things aren’t going as they should be. “However, with me in charge we were getting a point per game and we were awaiting the big games against direct rivals. Our plight wasn’t as desperate as people would have you believe.” Orlandi takes the post with the Amaranto just a point from bottom and three from safety. The new man’s first task could hardly be tougher as Reggina travel to San Siro to face an Inter side determined to erase memories of their first defeat of the season against Napoli yesterday. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
