Angeblich meint die Polizei dass das garnicht stimmt. Vor dem Match soll es vor dem Stadion Schlägerein zwischen Ultra und Polizei gegeben haben, es sei aber keiner gestorben.

Bin jetzt ganz verwirrt

Edit: Nun ist es fix, die Spieler verlassen das Spielfeld.

We are told there was some sort of incident before the game, in which a fan may have been killed. This led some fans to call for the abandonment of the game, and may have led to the flares being thrown onto the pitch. We will, of course, keep you up to date with all developments.

The police's press offficer has denied that anything has happened, and there seems to be no clear reason to abandon the match, in spite of the Roma fans' wishes.

In fact, the vast majority of the fans have not left the stadium, and the players are all still out there.

Update:

Während der Halbzeitpause kam bei den Romafans das Gerücht auf dass ein Kind vor dem Spiel vor dem Stadion gestorben wäre. Daraufhin schmiss man Rauchbomben und aller Art von Feuerwerkskörpern aufs Spielfeld, das war auch der Grund warum das Spiel vorzeitig unterbrochen wurde. Romafans erzählten dann Roma-Kapitän Francesco Totti was passiert sein soll und dass das Spiel nicht weitergespielt werden dürfte, da sie sonst das Spielfeld stürmen und zerstören würden.

Angeblich erwartet Lazio und Roma eine Strafe (Punkteabzug), weil sie sich weigerten weiterzuspielen.

03/21/2004. There were amazing scenes at the Stadio Olimpico as the Rome derby between Lazio and Roma was suspended after 46 minutes of play.

Roma fans began to throw flares onto the pitch, apparently because a young Giallorossi fan had been run over by a police van outside the ground.

After over 20 minutes of discussions, it was deemed that play should not continue.

The Italian FA have reportedly told both sides that they will not now collect any points from the fixture.

The game itself was 0-0 when play was stopped. The first chance of the game arrived on 11 minutes as Mancini's low shot was blocked by the feet of Angelo Peruzzi.

Lazio saw penalty appeals turned down at the other end as Mancini appeared to pull down Simone Inzaghi. Cesar was booked for his protests.

Bernardo Corradi missed a guilt-edged chance a minute later as he saw his close-range shot saved by Ivan Pelizzoli.

After Peruzzi had dealt comfortably with a Walter Samuel header, Stefano Fiore struck the post after some fine Lazio play down the right.

And just before half-time Francesco Totti really should have given Roma the lead but he too hit the bottom of the post after collecting a Mancini pass.

The area around the Stadio Olimpico has degenerated into a battleground as Lazio and Roma react to the suspended derby.

The match was called off at the start of the second half following false claims that a child had been run over and killed by a police van.

This tie will now be replayed at a later date, but it will be difficult to find a day, as Lazio must already recover the game with Bologna that was snowed off a fortnight ago, while Roma are still in the UEFA Cup.

Lazio President Ugo Longo claimed that the suspension of this game was counter-productive.

“I think that something didn’t work in the information highway, as nobody has been able to figure out why the match was suspended,” he explained.

“It is just incredible and I have never seen anything like it before. Seeing as it was confirmed that the news was false, there was no reason at all to suspend the game.”

“The fans in the stadium did not seem to be too restless to begin with and it all escalated after play was halted.”

The area around the Stadium has now degenerated into a running battle between hardline supporters and the police, while other fans are hiding on the pitch to avoid going out into this chaos.

“If anything, I believe that the suspension created tension and sparked these violent clashes now taking place outside the Stadium,” added Lazio chief Longo.

There are even reports that the ‘false’ news that a child had been killed outside the Stadium was created by Roma’s hardline fans in order to spark crowd trouble.

At first the match looked set to go ahead and the two teams were threatened with ‘losing’ the game if they refused to carry on, but a phone call arrived for referee Roberto Rosetti.

“I spoke with referee Rosetti,” revealed League President Adriano Galliani, “and we agreed that it was best to suspend the match in these conditions.”

Roma seemed to be more eager to halt the match, as it was the Giallorossi fans who ordered a stop to proceedings.

“We were ready to go on and told Galliani this,” insisted Roma director of sport Franco Baldini, “but he chose to suspend it and I must say under the circumstances it was entirely the right decision.”

“The false news was taken as true by a large part of the crowd and at that point it became very difficult to change their minds beyond reasonable doubt. The game could not carry on.”

Hab wiederHoffnung was einen CL Platz angeht.

Lazio und Parma müssen noch ins Meazza und auch sonst sieht das Restprogramm ganz optimistisch aus.

Chievo-Siena 79'  Penalty for Siena!! Chiesa to take it...AND HAS HIS PENALTY SAVED BY MARCHEGIANI!! It was a poor penalty!! Poorly hit and nowhere near wide enough!!
