Espanyol Sign Ibarra From Porto

Espanyol have signed full back Hugo Ibarra from FC Porto on loan for the upcoming season.

Ibarra wanted to play with Boca Juniors in his native Argentina but has settled for a move to Espanyol.

He was reportedly unhappy with conditions at FC Porto and had asked for his release from the club after spending last season on loan at Monaco.

Manager Luigi Del Neri had told Ibarra that he was not in his plans for the upcoming season.
