chinomoreno Im ASB-Olymp Report post Posted June 28, 2004 Levante target Harte Newly-promoted Levante are contemplating moves for Ian Harte and Charlie Miller ahead of next season's Primera Liga campaign. Harte was relegated with Leeds United but his stock remains high on the continent following some impressive performances for Republic of Ireland. Indeed, his dead-ball skills are much appreciated by several scouts and his name has been linked with a host of European clubs over the past couple of seasons. The 26-year-old could be lured away from Leeds as the Yorkshire club are undergoing a massive rebuilding programme following their fall from grace. Meanwhile, Miller is due to give an answer on his future to Dundee United this week. The former Rangers midfielder has been offered a new contract at Tannadice, but has been pondering the option to head for sunnier climes with Levante skysports.planetfootball.com Sat.1-Text meldet, dass beide bereits bei Levante unterschrieben haben.
Harte to fight for his place Irish International and Leeds United defender Ian Harte – according to reports – is once again determined to fight for his place at the Yorkshire side, despite the Drogheda native’s links with a number of Spanish clubs. Barcelona, Villarreal, Levante and as close to home as Portsmouth, have all expressed an interest in signing the left-foot specialist. And it has now been revealed that Harte was on the verge of leaving when he met officials from Spanish outfit Villarreal last weekend. But the 26-year-old - who has been capped 56 times for the Republic of Ireland - has reportedly decided to "stay on and fight for his place". Now without seeing his payslip, no one but the player and his agent know what he earns, but it is believed to be in the region of over stg£25k month. Harte earned his most recent cap against the Czech Republic, scoring his 9th goal on the night to hand Ireland a 2-1 win at Lansdowne in March of this year.
