Alonso hat übrigens Verstappen für sein Verteidigen gegen Räikkönen in Spa in Schutz genommen - natürlich war es hart aber der Ruf nach Strafen oder gar Sperren kann nur von Leuten kommen die sich gerne blenden lassen.

Alonso does think, however, that one area where things can be improved is in how drivers behave when it comes to moving in the braking zone.

In particular, he thinks what Verstappen did in Hungary went too far.

"We cannot confuse the fans about two completely different incidents in the middle of the straight, like Verstappen or Kimi, or the braking area like what happened to me in Australia where I misjudged the braking point.

"And also Max/Kimi in Hungary, on that occasion, I felt Max was moving a lot under braking into Turn 2 and Max was way too aggressive

"We spoke about that in Germany in the drivers' briefing. All the drivers were not happy with Max in Hungary because it was under braking for Turn 2 – and you cannot move in the braking zone.

"But in the middle of the straight you are allowed to do one move as long as the other car is not alongside you. So everything fits with the incident in Spa."

Generell mutet diese Hexenjagd schon sehr nervend an - Villeneuve ist doch im Fahrerlager selbst als Großmaul ohne Substanz verschrien seit dem er in Pension ist. Seit Wochen und Monaten kritisiert er doch schon Verstappen.... man müsse ihm ständig auf die Finger klopfen zum Saisonbeginn, er ist noch viel zu langsam für Ricciardo, der Sieg in Barcelona war sehr viel Glück, er glaubt er spielt noch Playstation, er ist arrogant und genießt Welpenschutz von der FIA und eben unlängst die Mahnung, er würde noch jemanden töten.... was für mich der größte populistische Witz überhaupt in dieser Diskussion ist. Es wurde schon Zeit, dass Verstappen da mal drüberfährt.... auch wenns natürlich harter Tobak war.
