chinomoreno Im ASB-Olymp Beitrag melden Geschrieben 22. September 2006 Islanders agree Lux deal Real Mallorca are set to land German Lux from River Plate in January after the Argentine club green-lighted a $2 million (£1.35 million) deal. The 24-year-old, who is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in South America, could have moved to the Balearic club at the end of the summer transfer window, but River coach Daniel Passarella stated that he wanted to keep the player until after the forthcoming Copa Sudamerica. After coming throughout the youth ranks at River, he was called into the Argentina Under-20 side and helped the team to win the Fifa World Youth Championship in 2001. Three years later he earned a place in the record books after not conceding a single goal during the 2004 Olympic Games football tournament in Athens. The agreement to sell Lux coincides with River's decision to sell a percentage of the rights of five of their players to a group of investors. Striker Gonzalo Higuain, 19, and midfielder Fernando Belluschi, are two of key names to be involved in the deal, while Augusto Fernandez, Juan Antonio and Mateo Musacchio, who has yet to make his first team debut, are the other three players. skysports.com Mollarca-Präsident Vicente Grande dementierte prompt die Meldung, wonach der Transfer bereits absgeschlossen sein könnte, wollte aber nicht ausschließen, dass Lux im Januar tatsächlich kommt.
