Diego Tristan will sign for either Mallorca or Bolton on Monday following his release by Deportivo La Coruna. The 30-year-old striker said he decide whether to move to the sun-drenched Balearic islands - or the rain-soaked north-west of England. "I will play in Mallorca or Bolton," he said. "I have not yet decided what to do, but I will be at one club or the other by Monday." Tristan spent two seasons at Mallorca earlier in his career, making his first-team breakthrough with 19 Liga goals in the 1999/00 campaign before joining Depor. He scored 40 league goals in his first two seasons at the Riazor before his form tailed off and he was overtaken by Roy Makaay as the club's leading scorer. Und das trotz eines erst vorgestern eingegangenen lukrativen Angebotes von Charlton Athletic, die ihm 1,8 Millionen Euro boten. Bolton sowie den beiden anderen spanischen Interessenten, Levante und Betis, soll er schon vorher abgesagt haben. Gestern abend um 18:00 Thr einigte er sich mit Mallorca über eine Rückkehr geeinigt haben. Er wird heute einen Einjahresvertrag bei den Insulanern unterschreiben und dafür 400.000 Euro als Fixum bekommen. Er kann sein Salär aber ab einer bestimmten Anzahl von Einsätzen verdoppeln. Starker Transfer von Mallorca, Tristan wird ihnen bestimmt weiterhelfen können, denn die Chancenauswertung der ersten beiden Spiele war nicht gerade berauschend. Bin gespannt wie sie jetzt in der Offensive spielen werden. Tristan-Maxi und Arango dahinter hätte schon was, wird aber wahrscheinlich zu offensiv sein, weshalb vielleicht Maxi auf die Bank muss.
