NORWEGIAN striker Sigurd Rushfeldt has opted to stay with Austria Vienna and is set to be joined by compatriot Petter Rudi. Rushfeldt had been contemplating a return to his homeland with Tromso but has decided to remain in the Austrian capital.

The 30-year-old was an integral performer in Vienna's Double-winning campaign and bagged a brace in the Austrian Cup final victory over FC Karnten.

With Champions League football in the offing next term, Rushfeldt had no hesitation in committing his future to Austria Vienna.

"I feel in great shape and have no problems with anything," Rushfeldt told VG.

"Austria Vienna are a rich club and next season we are ready for the Champions League. I see no reason to change club.

"If I travel home to Norway it would be for a club which is civil and not to press a club for some kroner."
