chinomoreno Im ASB-Olymp Beitrag melden Geschrieben 27. Mai 2006 Woodgate makes Real vow Jonathan Woodgate has pledged to stay at Real Madrid after he was linked with a return to The Premiership. The centre half has endured an injury-plagued two years in the Spanish capital after joining Real from Newcastle in a £13.4 million deal. Reports had recently claimed that the 26-year-old was looking to move back to England in a bid to revive his career. Newcastle rejected rumours they were looking to re-sign the England international, after it was suggested The Magpies have first option on Woodgate. But the former Leeds United ace has denied talk that he could end his frustrating time in La Liga by coming back to The Premiership. Woodgate insists he will be staying with Real next season and he is determined to repay the club's faith in his ability. "I owe Real a lot for standing by me and in return want to come back as a first team player next year," Woodgate, who has also been linked to home-town club Middlesbrough, told AS. "I still want to succeed at Real and am going to work hard to make that happen. "I am expecting a tough summer, but it will all be worth it in the end." skysports.com Stellt sich nur die Frage, ob es für Real nicht besser wäre ihn ab- bzw. freizugeben. Dann würde man sich für die nächsten Jahre Gehalt und weitere Behandlungskosten sparen, da niemand weiß, ob er jemals wieder vollkommen fit werden kann. 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
