Tom. Gobbo Geschrieben 24. April 2006 Unlucky Roma hitman Vincenzo Montella has gone under the knife again to correct a recurring shoulder injury and won’t play again this season. The official Giallorossi website confirmed that the keyhole surgery on his right shoulder was performed today at the Villa Stuart clinic in the capital. “Professor Castagna reconstructed and repaired the damaged ligament section in the right shoulder. The player will have to rest with the aid of stiff bandaging for three to four weeks,” noted the statement. It is the latest blow for Montella, who has missed most of the season through various injuries and had already undergone surgery on that shoulder in January. The 31-year-old has managed just 13 Serie A appearances this season, but has only completed one match, playing for a total of 799 minutes. His last game in a Roma jersey was the Rome derby on February 26 and he won’t be able to play again this term.
