chinomoreno Im ASB-Olymp Beitrag melden Geschrieben 4. August 2004 Levante claim Forlan deal Spanish side Levante claim they have come to an agreement with Manchester United to sign Diego Forlan. The Uruguayan marksman is seemingly heading out of the Old Trafford exit door this summer, with original reports suggesting that Atletico Madrid would be his destination. Forlan is desperate to stay in Manchester and prove himself worthy of a place in Sir Alex Ferguson's side, but the veteran Scot may not agree. With Atletico said to be interested, newly-promoted Primera Liga side Levante say that they have already agreed on a deal with United for the loan of Forlan for the coming season. "We already have a green light from Manchester but now we must agree terms with the player and that is never easy," the club's sporting director Manuel Salvador told Marca. Salvador warned that the deal was far from completed, as the Valencia-based side may not be able to reach an agreement with the player. The South American's desire to remain at United may prove a stumbling block to any move, although he may decide that regular action in La Liga is better than warming the bench at Old Trafford. Folran started United's pre-season friendly with PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, but his representatives are thought to be heading to Spain to discuss a move to ambitious Levante. A United spokesman did deny the deal before the match, saying: "No deal is in place at the moment." The Spanish club have already signed former Leeds United full back Ian Harte and former Celtic centre back Johan Mjallby during the close season. skysports.planetfootball.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
