After talks on Saturday, the Yellow Submarines have thrashed out a deal worth around €2 million with the Middle East outfit. The Spaniards had originally resisted Al Rayyan's attempts to snare the Brazilian, but relented after Anderson made it clear he wanted the transfer. It means Villarreal will be left desperately short of attacking options until they can sign a replacement when the transfer window reopens, but president Fernando Roig confirmed the deal was now finalised. "The situation was very complicated because the player wanted to leave," Roig stated. "The team will have problems in attack until the month of December, but the transfer is done."
