MILANISTA Chi se ne frega! Beitrag melden Geschrieben 18. September 2007 Lazio consider Rome home The mayor of Rome has urged Lazio to build their new stadium in Fiumicino rather than moving south to Valmontone. Lazio President Claudio Lotito is keen to relocate the Aquile from the Stadio Olimpico home they share with city rivals Roma. While the Giallorossi’s support largely hails from within the Rome city boundary, a large proportion of Lazio’s following comes from the outskirts. Lotito has been planning a new single-use stadium for Lazio for three years and has lined up a site in Valmontone - 20km south of the city – but mayor Walter Veltroni has other ideas. “He needs to work out whether he wants to build a stadium or a city,” moaned Veltroni. “If he just wants a site for a stadium, the region of Fiumicino has already indicated it will support him.” Another possibility is rebuilding the Stadio Flaminio, which is used for Italy’s international rugby matches and Serie C2 Cisco Roma games. “If he doesn’t want to move to Fiumicino, there is a good location at the Flaminio,” he concluded. channel4.com 0 Zitieren Diesen Beitrag teilen Link zum Beitrag Auf anderen Seiten teilen
