Pinturicchio fino alla fine Beitrag melden Geschrieben 16. Juni 2004 Juve assess Vicente option Tuesday 15 June, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juventus are one of a number of clubs chasing Valencia winger Vicente Rodriguez, according to his agent. The Spaniard impressed in the 1-0 win over Russia at Euro 2004 and the Turin giants have made contact. "Valencia want to keep him but he must be aware of the fact that a number of Italian clubs, including Juventus are keen," stated Miguel Angel Cermeno. "Vicente feels like a 'Valencianista' but there are also a few English sides that have been in touch too." The Spanish champions want to keep the 23-year-old at the club until 2011 but their contract offer is reportedly not to the player’s satisfaction. Vicente is the second Spanish winger that has been associated with the Old Lady after they were linked with Joaquin yesterday. The Betis Seville player is liked by boss Fabio Capello and the youngster seems keen on a Delle Alpi switch. "It is obviously pleasing to know that a Coach like Capello rates you," said the international. "It would be a great experience to go and play in Italy, especially as it has become more offensive in recent seasons. "Juve play with four midfielders and I would settle in well. Roma were after me some years ago but nothing came of it." Capello asks for Joaquin Monday 14 June, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juventus boss Fabio Capello is understood to have requested the services of Spanish ace Joaquin Sanchez. Capello is a massive fan of the right-sided midfielder and he’s asked transfer guru Luciano Moggi to make an enquiry. The tactician already wanted the 22-year-old at Roma two years ago but the capital side didn’t deliver. Now Capello is hoping that his new club could successfully capture the Betis Seville starlet. However, the Turin giants may struggle to pull off the proposed swoop given his transfer fee. Betis value the youngster at a massive £18m, a figure that the Old Lady of Italian football are unlikely to offer. channel4.com Ja ja, das wäre natürlich toll wenn einer der beiden kommen würde, doch ganz für realistisch halte ich das nicht, Joaquin noch eher als Vicente.
