The contracts of Hermansson (25 games last season), Schwabe (32 games), Jung (31 games), and Vigen (27 games) expired. I think the club was hoping to extend all of them, but they were also expensive players. Then Lindstrøm was sold to Frankfurt as the club's second biggest sale ever. The biggest since Daniel Agger to Liverpool in 2006, so that sale was definitely expected. Currently captain Andreas Maxsø is on his way to a Russian club due to a low clause in his contract. The financial situation of the club isn't strong, so we are a selling club. However, most fans are puzzled about what is going on. Brøndby are finally champions, but all momentum from the title has dissapeared and so has most of the stars. It is mindboggling to be honest, and people aren't happy at all. It seems like such a wasted opportunity, and it is crazy now when we finally have money after the sale of Lindstrøm + prize money from at least the Europa League group stage. Regarding the young players, you cannot compare our youngsters with those of FC Midtjylland and FC Nordsjælland who are taking over Europe these years unfortunately. Frendrup is a good holding midfielder, and I think he'll have a fine career. But in the grand scheme of things, I don't think he's anything special. Bjur and Bruus are only in the squad because we haven't had enough money to buy good players. They aren't good at all. The most exciting young players are goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who is said to be a big talent, and then Anis Slimane who is a regular for Tunesia too. However, both of them still have a long way to go. The main reason, to be honest, for our title last year is variance. We became champions with the lowest number of points in ages, and we outperformed our xP massively. At the same time, both FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland had their worst season in years. So we were definitely lucky.
