Ibra out in Juve revolution?

Sunday 23 April, 2006

Juventus risk throwing away the Scudetto and newspapers suggest this could push out Fabio Capello, Patrick Vieira, Adrian Mutu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The reigning Italian Champions have been practically assigned the title for the past three months, having enjoyed a 10-point lead just five rounds ago.

However, a run of seven competitive games without a win and five straight draws in Serie A have seen that advantage over Milan hacked down to a meagre three points.

This sudden collapse has also apparently washed away some certainties within the club, such as the future of Coach Capello and the so-called Triade of directors Luciano Moggi, Antonio Giraudo and Roberto Bettega.

With Capello consistently linked with moves to Inter, Real Madrid and the England squad, and an increasingly fraught relationship with the Juventus fans over his treatment of Alessandro Del Piero, it’s by no means certain he’ll stay in Turin next season.

If the tactician does leave, then Ibrahimovic is also set to be shown the door. The Swede excelled in his debut Serie A campaign, scoring 16 goals, but this term he has managed just six and hasn’t hit the back of the net since February 18.

Yet Capello’s insistence on choosing the former Ajax man ahead of fan favourite Del Piero, even when he is struggling with injury, has infuriated the supporters and turned them against Ibrahimovic.

“I am not worried about Zlatan’s form ahead of the World Cup,” insisted Sweden Coach Lars Lagerback. “He is playing in a team that has had a large dip in form over the past few weeks. If we look at the support the strikers receive at the moment, it’s obvious he can’t have an easy job.”

Ibrahimovic was the subject of an approach by Real Madrid in the summer and in the current climate, with a contract renewal talks dragging on, Juventus could re-open negotiations with the Spanish side.

Other players who have disappointed this term are £13.75m summer signing Vieira, also of interest to Real Madrid, and former Chelsea man Mutu.

Lilian Thuram and Pavel Nedved are nearing retirement age and could be removed to freshen up the ageing defence, while Juventus have already made plans with the arrival of out of contract midfielders Cristiano Zanetti and Marco Marchionni from Inter and Parma respectively

na was hab ich gesagt :D

ciao fabio

Gobbo

According to Italian reports, the Czech player will hang up his boots at the end of this season.

This might be Pavel Nedved’s final season in his career, as according to the Italian media, the Juventus midfielder confided to some friends that at the end of the season he will retire and he will almost surely not take part to the World Cup.

Luciano Moggi has already found the perfect player to substitute the Czech midfielder: Joaquin. The Spanish star has been a target of the Old Lady for a long time and this summer the Bianconeri might make the final approach for the gifted midfielder.

In other transfer news, Palermo’s Barzagli is a step away from joining Juventus and an official announcement is expected in the coming weeks.

According to the Director of the Technical Area for the Gialloblu, Oreste Cinquini, Fabio Simplicio is very sought after, including the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri.

“Milan and Inter? The player already has a good market. I don't want to make publicity for the player, who during this season confirmed all the good things he did in the past season."

However, the main candidate to sign Simplicio remains Palermo.

“Last week I received a visit from their Sports Director. Palermo is very, very interested…”

Chi se ne frega!
Behrami?! :wos?:

...ist Mittelfeldspieler - also kann nur Cafu von ihm lernen was das Mittelfeld angeht. In der Abwehr is es andersrum! :)

Meinte ja die Abwehr! ;)

Miccoli offered for Barzagli

Palermo are ready to release Andrea Barzagli to Juventus in exchange for Italian international Fabrizio Miccoli.

The Old Lady have an option on Barzagli and the Rosanero are ready to allow them to take advantage of that agreement in the summer.

Although President Maurizio Zamparini had initially maintained that he wouldn’t be releasing any of his international players this summer, he’s now ready to sacrifice the former U-21 star.

Juventus have contacted the Sicilian giants and are understood to have tempted them into a sale by including Miccoli in the deal.

The pint-sized striker, undoubtedly one of Italy’s best attacking talents, is currently on loan in Portugal with Benfica.

Miccoli is unwanted in Turin given the incredible amount of attacking options they have and Juventus are finally ready to release him outright after already loaning him to Fiorentina in the past.

Barzagli yesterday admitted that he was unsure of where he would be playing his football next season.

However, the Azzurri squad regular did also admit that he is tempted by the prospect of one day playing for a club of the Old Lady’s stature.

Juventus are keen to introduce a younger element into their defence given the age of Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro.

Barzagli, crowned a European champion with Italy at Azzurrini level, is looking for the world title with the Azzurri in Germany this summer.
