Vor dem morgigen Spiel der bianconeri in Bergamo sieht's so aus, als würde Alex wieder auf der Bank Platz nehmen müssen. Es ist fast sicher, dass im Sturm wieder Trezeguet und Ibrahimovic beginnen... Durch die Verletzung von Nedved könnte es allerdings sein, dass Del Piero größere Chancen auf eine Einwechslung hat.

Wünsche mir einen Einsatz und gleich ein Jokertor von ihm!

Del Piero traf heute gegen Bergamo zum 2:0 per Elfmeter Ich hoffe, dass ihm diser Treffer wieder Auftrieb geben wird und Capello Ale von nun an öfter von Beginn an bringt.

Er muss einfach öfter zu Einsätzen kommen. Wenn man einen Del Piero in den eigenen Reihen hat, kann man den einfach nicht auf der Bank sitzen lassen, was Capello nach Del Pieros heutigem Tor hoffentlich nicht mehr all zu oft bis gar nicht machen wird.

Gianluca Vialli doesn’t expect Alessandro Del Piero to end his career with Italian giants Juventus.

The captain has developed into a symbol for the club since his arrival in 1993 but his former Bianconeri teammate believes his time in Turin is coming to an end.

"I don’t think that Del Piero will terminate his playing days at Juve," the legendary Italian told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I hope he decides to experience an adventure abroad so that he can enjoy himself in Spain or England.

"He can choose where and when," added the ex-striker, who himself left Turin for English club Chelsea in 1996.

Del Piero is tied to the Delle Alpi outfit until 2008 but he’s no longer guaranteed a starting shirt under boss Fabio Capello.

"Alex has the right to be unhappy but also needs to continue training seriously and play with enthusiasm as he is doing," added Vialli.

"Capello? I can’t argue with the decisions of a Coach whose team is eight points clear at the top of the table.

"Capello can’t change his 4-4-2 system now. Del Piero can play in a wide variety of roles but only in attack."

Juventus insist that Del Piero, now 30, will remain even if he has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid recently.

Ambitious Palermo have offered Alessandro Del Piero the chance to end his Juventus nightmare.

The Italian’s future in Turin has been cast into doubt after his recent relegation to the bench, and a summer exit may be on the cards.

Some of Europe’s biggest clubs have been associated but the Sicilian outfit have dreams of landing the 30-year-old legend.

"I don’t think he will leave Turin but I would love to bring a champion like him to Palermo," President Maurizio Zamparini told the Corriere dello Sport.

"But there have to be the right conditions in place for a player of such calibre to come here. We would need a sponsor to cover his wages."

Meanwhile, the two clubs are expected to finalise a number of transfers at the end of this season.

Juventus are keen on Andrea Barzagli, a defender who has recently broken into the full Italian national squad.

"I know they are following me," stated the former Azzurrini stopper. "This news fills me with honour."

The Old Lady are also known to be keen on Parma’s Cesare Bovo, who is part-owned by both Roma and Palermo.

The Rosaneri, apart from Del Piero, are also eyeing Fabrizio Miccoli. The latter is currently at Fiorentina after the Viola bought a half-share in him from Juve in the summer.

Juventus boss Fabio Capello has embraced the return of Alessandro Del Piero after his stunning display against Siena.

The captain was simply superb during the 3-0 win, netting a penalty and a sublime back-heel that broke the deadlock.

"Del Piero allows you to entertain and win," stated the tactician who had relegated the No 10 to the bench recently.

"I don’t know whether leaving him out has fired him up to react in the way he has on the field.

"The truth is that Alex hasn’t been able to train properly for a long while now and that’s why he wasn’t at his best.

"He’s now returned to his standards and everyone can see that."

Del Piero, who has now scored eight times against Siena in six games, has had a difficult campaign to date but was quick to praise the team for his success.

"The win is the more important aspect," said the Italian international who was fielded in a trident attack.

"Playing with three up-front does work and we could use it again in the future but we must be able to play in other ways too."

The latest ‘return’ of Del Piero also delighted director general Luciano Moggi who has often defended the player from criticism.

"I believe in champions and Alex is a champion," he proudly stated. "Del Piero is able to do what he did today and even more.

"I’ve always said that you must wait until the end of the season and see how many goals he scores."

Del Piero has netted nine in the championship so far this term, just one short of teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

What Next For Del Piero?

Ahead of this weekend’s monumental tussle between Milan and Juventus, Steve Lamb takes a look and the situation of Alex Del Piero and ask’s what does the future hold for the Juve skipper?

Alessandro Del Piero - a name that means so much too so many people. To Juventini worldwide he is an idol, a symbol of everything that is good about the old lady of Torino, he is a hero, a friend, a brother, a legend.

To some he is an enigma, a player of undoubted talent and fantasy, who has never quite lived up to his billing as “the new Roberto Baggio”. A player who has never quite found his own identity. A player who is as frustrating as he is brilliant.

And to some he is a fallen star. A washed up thirty-year-old, who has never recovered from the horrific knee injury that he suffered in 1998. This school of thought likens Del Piero to an old rock star who can’t accept that his time is over, desperate for just one more hit.

Whatever your own thoughts on Del Piero may be, there can be no doubting that few players split opinions quite like the Juventus number 10. Every football fan from Iceland to New Zealand has his own opinion on Del Piero.

Despite not having a celebrity wife or having ever won the World Cup, the Ballon d’Or or the World Player of the Year award, Alex Del Piero is still one of the most famous and talked about players on the planet.

There can be few players worldwide who can rely on the unconditional love and affection that Del Piero receives from his beloved fans inside the Stadio Delle Alpi. Not even the great Roberto Baggio enjoyed such a close relationship with the Juve tifosi.

Put simply, Del Piero is their boy and they will back him though thick and thin. In a footballing world with so little loyalty this is a special relationship which should be praised - to them Del Piero is indispensable.

Rumours persist however that this could be Del Piero’s last year in Torino, with a possible move to England or even Japan on the cards.

Without question Del Piero has found it difficult since Fabio Capello became Juve boss. In truth the triangle of Del Piero, Capello and Juventus was always going to be a troublesome one. Don Fabio is well known for his love of tall powerful forwards (his first signing at Roma was Batistuta), so it came has no surprise when his first request as Juve boss was for the club to buy Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Del Piero only need ask Vincenzo Montella about Capello’s treatment of small, lightweight forwards! Despite a reasonable return of 12 Serie A goals so far this term, Del Piero’s future is in doubt. He holds the unenviable title of most subbed player in Serie A this season and it is now a rare occurrence that Del Piero finishes a game. When Trezeguet and Ibrahimovic are fit Del Piero is on the bench and that’s just the way it is under Capello.

Juventus have been heavily linked for months with a summer move for Roma bad boy Antonio Cassano. Indeed transfer guru Luciano Moggi has openly admitted to being a big fan of the peter pan from Bari. Cassano added fuel to the fire when he stated that he misses his former coach Capello “a little bit more each day”. If Cassano does arrive in Torino it would surely signal the end for Del Piero. Given a choice between an aging Del Piero or his ex student from Roma it is quite clear who Capello would chose. With Adrian Mutu also free from his doping ban it may be a case of three’s a crowd and Del Piero is likely to be the odd one out.

Despite all the talk of Del Piero’s possible departure, the club are adamant that he will remain and are happy to dismiss the talk as just rumour. Luciano Moggi said “Del Piero is a champion and will definitely remain here.” Moggi also said the same prior to Zinedine Zidane’s £48 million move to Real Madrid.

There may still be time however for the fantatista to prove his worth to Capello. This weekend’s Scudetto showdown with Milan could be Del Piero’s last chance. With Ibrahimovic banned and Trezeguet less than match sharp it is almost certain that Del Piero will get his chance to show the world that he is alive and kicking.

es ist schwer in die zukunft von ADP zu blicken. einserseits ist er für die meisten juve fans ein idol auf der anderen seite bringt er schon recht lange viel zu wenig leistung um seinen platz in der juve mannschaft zu rechtfertigen. mit capello ist es für ihn nicht einfacher geworden. ich könnter mir durchaus vorstellen dass er den einfacheren weg geht und ins ausland zu wechseln. für japan ist es aber imho doch noch ein wenig zu früh.

was meint ihr?

Hab den Bericht auch eben gelesen. Ich persönlich denke dass er bei Juve bleiben wird. Auch wenn er nicht mehr konstant gute Leistungen bringt ist er doch immens wichtig für das Team-12 Tore bisher sind für seinen Spielertyp und die Zeit, die er bekommt wirklich nicht schlecht.

Ich hoffe stark, dass er in Zukunft noch eine wichtige Rolle bei Juve spielen wird, bin aber angesichts der jüngeren Vergangenheit auch eher skeptisch. Tatsache ist, dass er den meisten Teams auf alle Fälle noch weiterhelfen könnte.

villeicht würde ihm ein wechsel auch helfen wieder an alte leistungen anzuknüpfen?

villeicht braucht er einfach eine neue herausforderung oder eine mannschaft wo er wieder der star wäre und man mehr auf ihn baut.
